People always want what they don't have.
You can do what you're doing for another 20 years if your health holds up.
That sounds like a pretty d@mn good life.
All the fun without the strings attached, except the magic one, of course.

We were chatting right up to the minute she had to stop talking for 10 days.
I been doing some thinking of my own in silence on my motorcycle today. I just don't think she knows what she wants or is too afraid to go for it. Either way, I can't wait around for her to make up her mind. Like someone said, I have "only" 20 good years left. And I need to make the best of it.
In 10 days, we will see where we both are at. But I am 100 percent confident that our paths will cross again.......100 percent.
Just not sure where or when or what it will be like.

20 more years of outlaw ADVing, then shack up with a 30 year old in Thailand.
    What's the problem?

    Ed,

Thank you for being you and thank you for sharing your Edventures with us so candidly.

I wish I could give you encouraging words like she'll fall in love with and give up her lifestyle and follow you, but we all know that may not happen.

But what I do know is because you are genuine and give 100% in everything you do, you're going to end up happier in life because of it. And that's what really counts in life, right?

    100/10 Winning at life!

One thing is fairly certain from following along on these Edventures...our hero is an accomplished captain on the river of his life. He will undoubtedly have many more stories regardless. I do hope to see Ed truly happy with whomever shares their combined Edventure with.

Side note...the updates today gave me something to look forward to as I did my big walk today. One 'step' closer to riding! Keep them coming as you can

And believe it or not, this camp spot was not on TripAdvisor and the road was not on a map.

It appears some of the comments made here are being edited out. Not sure why. But I saw one now deleted comment and it got me thinking. I need to find the girl that runs to me, not away from me. Make me feel special and gets a 10 out of 10 for effort.
I think it was clear that I was giving it my all and that wasn't enough. Something was obviously missing.
ki_ote said it best......people want what they can't have. If it's too easy, it must not have value.
Second day on the road, things are becoming more clear

It requires a certain kind of girl to embrace the gypsy life.
Intuitively I suspect her friends were concerned with your difference in age, then ignored your obvious harmony together.
Not liking this no-talking retreat business, risky for all involved.

Taking off on the bike may not cure anything but really helps put whatever problems I'm having in perspective.

    I've gone through this before.
When I met Orsi, our first date lasted 48 hours. And then i dropped her off at a temple where she didn't speak or communicate for 7 days. And as soon as she got out, she called me right away and the next day we moved in together.
Not saying that will happen again but i am very curious which way her feelings will go when left alone with her thoughts for 10 days
