Hwy.138 is the beautiful road that goes through the Umpqua National forest with something like 24 waterfalls with about 17 along this Hwy. Need to come back and spend more time here :thumbup

It's interesting that you found Bakers wayside since that used to be Bakers bike. Did you know that Mike Doyle (shop in Roseburg) used to have an aftermarket shop on Rabbit Creek Road called Rabbit Hole? Small world. Now, where are the pictures of the mud? Barb

First mechanical: I pull in to Diamond Lake Loop road to fuel-up and I feel the ft. brakes acting funny. Crap something got in one of the holes in the disc brake and gouged the brake pad and rotor up :boid There was a high spot in the metal that every time it went a round it would grad the pad and shudder the bike. I grab a file and start hacking away.

All fixed I head south on Nf 4795 next to Diamond lake to Nf 6592 and hook back up to Hwy.138
    [IMG]

Some nice camp grounds along here.

Looks like a awesome place to do some snowmachining.snowmobile for you guys down south.

A file. I'm assuming that's just to remove any surface metal that's been raised up in the gouging process?

Is Mike Doyle related to the Roseberg Auto Wrecking yard? I've ridden the hills around Roseberg with John Doyle.

By the way, the original Wolbert Machine Co. was in Roseberg.

A real nice guy we talk about a hour or so then we part ways I cruse a round to look for a place to camp[IMG]

I find a big field behind Pelican Cinemas. The place looks like they do some kind of dirt racing there bicycle may be.
Camp is set up and I start messing with my new gadgets, this was my first time alone with them out in the field to have some quality time with. Xm, radio/ Xm weather gizmo listening to some toons playing with the camera settings.
    Trying something different here
    [IMG]

My numbers so far. my stop times off because I turned the gps off in Roseburg. Got a good average for a new Grandpa:rofl I think this Grandpa can get a little more top speed out of this GS though:lol3 Take that ilmostro u and your 80 mph average:ilmostro :smooch
    [IMG]

And strange happening #2 happen the radio starts flipping channels and starts playing Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty, remember this use to be Bakers Bike:uhoh
    [IMG]

Now am starting to get a little freaked out. In the middle of a field all alone I’m starting to hear strange noises all around me.:arg :uhoh :shog
