I was sitting at my workplace and looking at my bike.

Next week would be relaxing. I had some money for travel. And I never been in Siberia. Altay, I had heard so much about this beautiful region... Obviously!
It would be fast riding, time is limited and distances are impressive. Let's go!

    Day 1

The aim was to make as maximum distance as possible. No stops, no sightseeings, only road. The weather was fine and I was feeling celebratory. Some pictures along the way.

    Some reversible movement road sections

    Some relaxing views

Some conversations at gas stations. Bikers was interested in my motorcycle, and car drivers in my Moscow license plate. The word Altay impressed both because we were so far from it. As far as 2 days of fast riding :-)

    Ufa, the place to stay

My first sunset in this trip. The day is over. It was great and next will be greater.

Many reversible movement road sections again. Waste of time.

I saw this guy near the road. He rode his way from Altay and lost his fork. Sheared bolts. Waiting for a tow car. I couldn't help but wish good luck.

    I'm in Siberia already :-)

My motel near the road. Next day should bring me to Altay.

    Day 3

Mysterious Siberian sunrise. There a'nt many objects to see here. But this feeling of infinity and freshness...

I should reach Omsk, then straight road to Novosibirsk and welcome to Altay. The main thing is not to forget to refuel.

The schedule was tight but I found the time to lounging on meadow :-)

    Some road repairs again

Novosibirsk. Great summer weather, tanned girls and festive mood. I couldn't believe it's cruel Siberia. And it wasn't. It was gentle Siberia, lovely Siberia. Exactly what I was looking for.
Only 2 photos near the water and I had to go forward. I'll inspect this city closer on the way back. Then I'll get some more time because it will be the way to the West (Moscow time is -4 hours of Novosibirsks ).

I had some troubles with my smartphone and couldn't find the address of booked hotel. So brother biker could help. Oh, yes, Manzherok. I had chosen this town because I remember Soviet song about it.

My new friend stayed at Biysk. And I should make last 100 km.

Bingo! I'm at place! Manzherok. I can't even imagine how you pronounce it in English :-)

Some conversations with householder about life, politics, capital indifference, great history and human souls. About everything because I was feeling like on another planet compairing to Moscow. It's time to rest and prepair for Altay exploring.
A lot of photos are approaching. I'll try to show everything I see here.

    Day 4

Manzherok has 2 sights - a cable car and small lake. The first one today is a cable car.

There is no juice in a dry tree - there is no good in an empty word. One wise proverb.

Kind of impressionist painting, created by reality. This old man is lonely, but people occupy his head :-)

The cable car was in the process of small repair. Local Megan Fox tried to get at her workplace. But guards are tough. We are in charge here! Closed! Wait for an hour or two! Just curious are guards such big bosses everywhere on the planet? :-)

While I can eat famous Siberian pelmeni

Then I remembered the lake and rode there

I was welcomed here. This active grandmo told me about everything in their life and even in Moscow life :-)

I've saw from the coast of lake that the cable car begins working. Time to come back.

A lot of people but PayPass holders are out of turn

I joined a local family, 4-th on the bench. 15 minutes later we were joking and speaking about everything. People here are definitely more sociable than in Moscow.

    Some Altay folk attractions

This girl sells amulets. These things are not so harmless. Just look in her beatiful and cold eyes.

Time to fall to the ground. Beautiful views but in little haze because of forest fires in the taiga.

I wanted to see something beautiful else. Teletskoe lake isn't so far from Manzherok. Let's go.
Some trading points along the road. This woman said trading goes bad and she paints taiga bugs by nail varnish for amusement. We are waiting for new types of insects discovery :-)

The road is good, but not without holes. Landscapes are inspiring.

I overtook this team 30 minutes earlier. There was a guy whose reports about Mongolia I had read before my trip among them.
Probability theory, I don't believe in you! :-)

    Return to Manzherok

The riddle - how many horses do you see in the picture? The hint: they are in the house also

I've lost my clutch cable in this race. It was broken near the lever. And I didn't have repair kit. I remembered I hear about enduro school in Manzherok from guys near the lake. I think I'll get help there.

The mad Russian does not dissapoint! What's up with the upside down houses? And the required mechanical issue all in one post. You are the best!

These houses are just tourists amusement. Nothing earth-shattering.
But this Siberian atmosphere... The feeling of youthful freshness of mind. I love it.

    Day 5

I called Vladimir, the trainer of enduro school in Manzherok and he gave me a phone number of mechanic.

Denis clenched some kind of nut on my cable. And we can fly again!

This guy at gas station said that real Altay will begin closer to Kosh Agach. OK, we'll finish with this fake Altay soon :-)

    Each to his own

We'll ride together with this horse, dog and two bikers from Novokuznezk. Although not, only motorcyclists :-)

Don't cry baby, the rain is over

And the race began. Serpantines, I adore you.

And these children from school were very glad too.

Night fall to the ground. There wasn't a mobile net in the village where guys stoped. So I couldn't find them. I was thinking how to find an overnight place when Camry stopped near my motorcycle. "What are you doing here? Looking for bed?". 15 minutes later I was in a small wooden house. The bathhouse is near. The coast of river and dark silhouettes of mountains. Night air with all these smells. Relax and good night.

The shame of Altay. 100 meters from the perfect road.

The situation looks better if you stay on the side of shame, not looking at it...

I was thinking about people who are able to spoil any perfect beauty. And did not notice this wet clay under the wheels. Vroom and I got a spil. Nothing serious, protection worked well. But I'm covered by this damn clay.
I had to come back for some water procedures.

I'm clean again. Interesting conversation with the householder over the cup of tea.

My way now was back to the North. So I was trying to take all the views in photos.

My plans changed when I'd see a road sign indicating the direction to Belukha mountain. I asked a woman at gas station about this road. She said this is very popular and interesting direction. Obviously! We're going to Belukha!

It's about 300 km. And first 15 of them were good.

He's on enduro and he's glad. Not surprising... I have plastic ties so I'll be glad soon too :-)
Thank you my friend, I don't need any help. It will fly.

Headlights are in right place again.

I reached Tungur village by night.

15 minutes of looking for the guest house and I'm in a friendly atmoshere with tasty evening meal. This deer should bring me good dreams
