Perhaps, but I'm not the one wanting to hose other motorcyclists/bikers

Who is? Pointing out a potential option for dealing with the pack is not the same as advocating for such.

Is it possible that you have a squeamishness concerning firearms that interferes with your reading comprehension at times?

Talking about it is only a 4lb pull from doing it. An exercise in mental preparation for a avoidable confrontation.

Squeamishness, no not at all, just a desire to use the right tool for the job. IMO the first tool to apply is one's mind, and certainly some common sense.

+1. Treat them as you would any motorcyclist. If you would normally wave or nod then do it, if not then don't. You may not like what they are, or what they stand for, BUT we are all motorcyclists and that's our common bond (loose as it may be sometimes).

Personally I resent the negativity they bring to motorcycling, always have. However, we all have that little bit of 'biker' in us. Part of the breed.

Ever thought of a sense of humor as a tool? Combined with some "common sense", I would guess you could find it to serve you well when reading certain threads on ADVrider.

    Take care.

Honestly, They engender less negativity than a school of sportbike stunters do foolin' down the highway.

Actually, a lot less negativity than sportbike stunters do.

    Good answer, trumpet. Good answer.

Cool avatar, and cool subtext ("Group W bench") too. If our paths ever cross, I'm buying. :1drink

Don't know about that. I think most people think the sportbike guys are just reckless and stupid, not threatening and supporting illegal activities. When is the last time you heard of sportbike guys in a shootout or involved in drug trafficking? If some sportbike punks come into a restaurant the men don't feel the need to guard their women and children. I understand what your are saying, not that reckless/punk sportbike guys don't spin their own negativity, just not on the sinister level.

I guess another way to put is that a "pack" of patched riders (2, 10, or 100)doesn't concern me beyond protecting my hearing.

A school of stunters, concern me because they have proven a disdain for their own well being and that of others traveling near them.

As to the sinister level, well yes, the 1% image is traded upon. It allows criminals to do their business, just as easily as allowing poser's to play dress up on the weekends.

Not all patch holders are 1%'rs and not all 1% hold patches.

Ah well it's enough for one night, be well :)

TM you're on, though it's either cola or cappucino these days :clap
