Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change
    1) Either you fear them and all other things in life beyond your kitchen.

    2) Defend them by telling folks why they should fear them and become a biker lapdog.

    3) Ignore them and ride on under all terms.

I'm sure the original poster was kidding or trolling! Who would be STUPID enough to pass a pack of HA that are purposely blocking both lanes to avoid passing! Anybody with half a brain would have pulled off the road for a few minutes, just like when it first starts to rain. But then again this is the "perfect line and myths" sort of like the peanut gallery of ADV.

I have communicated with him in the past and my previous comment about Hells Angels, ex or otherwise, being brain dead criminals still stands.

Was ridin' one of my favourite set 'O' twisties on the way to some dirt awhile back and as I came around a nice left sweeper I caught up to a group wearing their colors. Was about eight of 'em and first testosterone reaction was to drop a gear and blow by 'em, thought to myself " I'm in no hurry" and hung back. Dedcided to stop for a smoke and let them gain some distance. Got back on the bike and miles down the road saw the aforementioned group pulling into a small store, as I rode by they all acknowledged me with a wave. By the way their colors were the safety vests of an MSF course out for a road ride, don't matter what the colors might be on two wheels I'll always do the same thing.

Numerous "encounters" over the years with various and assorted 1% types. Never a problem. Everybody from HA to Banditos to Chingalings to Pagans to Outlaws and Banditos.

A wave as I pass, if I pass. About 100 miles in formation with a Bandito cruising at highly illegal speed through northern NM. A wave from him when we finally split paths. 6 Mongol Nomads in a hotel in Nebraska somewhere were amazed at how much stuff I could load on my R1100S. Good conversation about riding in general and LD riding in particular (I was on my way from S. Florida to Cody, WY for a meet with some friends.)

Any number of acquaintances from years gone by who I would be proud to call friends if we spent more time togehter. They, for the most part, are just working stiffs like the rest of us. I never judge people by what they wear or what they ride, the outlaw life is not for me but I do understand why it has appeal to others.

I've had several encounter with Hells Angels and Mongols over the years. The first was at the Calvaeras Frog Jump in the 60s. My dad had let me carry our empty cooler back out and I was stopped by an Angel that just new there was beer in the cooler. Great matchup, a 10 year kid and a 6'6" Outlaw. Still remember my 5'4" dad running up and jamming his finger in the Angel's face. Fortunately their Sgt of Arms came running up just before before the local sherrifs to defuse the whole thing. Could have gotten ugly.

When I started working as bartender on Sonora Pass had a couple of Angels come into our bar and one was sitting in the dinning room chomping on a beer glass with his old lady frech kissing him, licking up the blood. Had to 86 them for the night. Took a lot of smooth talking on my part .... y'al are welcome back tomorrow but tonight you are just to wild and you need to go cool off. I was on one side of the bar, he was on the other and I had my hand on a hot pot of coffee, ready to smash it over his head if tried crossing the bar. The next time a chapter had come up to party. That is the only time they acted in a class maner. As they came in the chapter president and Sgt at Arms come over and introduced themselves stating if any trouble looked to be brewing to I was to ocme to them and they'd keep control. They were amazingly civilized that night.

In previous years Street Vibrations in Reno has been a major outing for the Angels, them having just taken over Joey Confortes properties. Came across a group going up Gieger Grade in mass formation. Just sliced and diced through their parade on my KLR. In the tight twisties on Gieger there weren't nothing they could do. Never faced the music as I turned off onto the dirt road the circled into American Flats before they ad the chance to catch up.

The last time I came across a group of Mongols gassing up in Bridgeport when a group of Angels motored by. Interstingt while the Angels stopped a mile outside of town on the north sode, the Mongols doubled back and tok the road to Wellington at the south end of town. Seems they weren't interested in conforonting the Angels. But that sums up my experiences. Seems the outlaws live in te now and don't carry long term grudges unless you're in another outlaw gang or sport their colors when you don't belong. Seems while they have a chapter in Reno (in Joey Confortes old house) they have turned it into a Nomad chapter (a chapter with no home base) and since their President got arrested for child porm charges they have gone underground to the point the Mongols have established a chapter in Carson city. Btw, their president when to the HA USA Run in Montana driving a motorhome with out of date tags. They stopped him, searched his motorhome and found a computer with child porn pictures. He was just convicted and sentenced. Based on that Storey county has rvoked their license to run the Old Bridge Ranch (formerly known as Mustang Ranch) so as far as nevada is concerned the Angels are out of the whoremongering business.

My brother has a friend who is an ex HA. great guy, bigotted asshole but if you're white he would give you the shirt off his back. He still has friends who where in the HA here in Alberta. The HA patched over the Grim reapers about 10 years ago and about 5 years ago started purging the ex reaper members out. Now the Reapers are starting to gather amongst themselves again so it is only a matter of time before they start trying to push the HA back out of Alberta,Sask and maybe BC.
The HA members in small groups are usually pretty approachable, often friendly, when they ride in mass the problems and attitudes usually show up.
During the patchover period the HA would do mass rides into Alberta from BC and be torn apart by the RCMP. Their would be roadblocks set up and everymotorcycle would have to go through for a safety inspection including helmet check. The HA always travel with chase vehicles (wouldn't you if you were on a HD) and a lot of their bikes would end up on a trailer. The RCMP eventually set up signs at the roadblocks that only motorcycles could stop. The tow trucks made some money and the bikes would have to be picked up at the impound yard. I have a couple friends that got caught up in it wearing unapproved helmets while riding their sportbikes (a really expensive weekend)
During all this harrassment the 1% bosses all travelled in motorhomes so it didn't prevent them from moving into Alberta anyway.
At the meeting points the HA members were all on orders to be on their best behaviour, any infraction would mean eviction from the HA. They all walked around smiling and helping little old ladies across the street etc. Upstanding wonderfull members of society.
Once they were embedded they turned back to their old ways.
Too bad our western liberal laws wont allow us too outlaw these outlaw gangs.

    hrmm..

let's try think this through logically.

a Hells Angel is the opposite of a 'regular angel'

so one becomes one by doing the opposite of whatever one does to become a 'regular angel'.

so, following that logic, you'd do the reverse to UNbecome an Hells Angel.

therefore, after much thought and consideration, i give you the following:

A Hells Angel must save George Bailey's life by jumping off a bridge thus forcing George to save him and helps find George's own self-worth.

    that's just a theory, though.

You can be kicked out in bad standing. You most likely take a beating possibly are never seen again. Depending on what offense you commited.
They will take your motorcycle, your patches, and HA related items you have. They have been known to remove HA tattoo's with blow torch, cut off, grind off. if your lucky they allow you to cover it up.
Out in good standing, you turn in colors, all HA related items, have a patch out date tattooed on your club tattoo. you basically retire.

I'd also suspect that going to theatrical performances is heavily frowned upon, as well as pastels.
