I bought a museum quality 94 ktm exc300 2 stroke, it is showroom clean.
Original tires show under 200 or so miles, its beautiful.
It starts up very easily and runs perfect but no lights.
The wiring has signs someone before me was trying to fix but harness is pretty much perfect oem and unmolested.
From the engine is 6 wires:
4 do the engine details and go to coil, green, black, red, and orange = kill switch.
This leaves 2 yellow wires which I assume are for lighting, from a lighting coil on stator plate? The pipe will need to be pulled off to peek inside and pull ignition side cover.
I did not do this yet.
Seems like I should have power from these 2 yellow wires?
I put a test lamp from each wire to frame ground and nothing, no light on tester.
I put a test lamp across both yellows and still nothing.
    Whats my next step?
Seems like a fairly simple system
    Thanks, Doug

Yellows are usually from lighting coil. You should have about 12 volts AC between yellows when it is running, give or take with rpm.............If not lighting coil is probably bad.
