    But, I wasn't planning on taking the parkway up to Afton, too slow, would have to leave out at around 06:30 to get up to Afton by 09:30.

    Yes,to wack a 4x4 is to kill an 8 pt. whitetail.Offhand means no artificial rest.Bullet "struck" a rib upon entering,thereby coming "unglued"(usually refering to the core's bonding to jacket failing),whereby the fragmenting bullet proceeded to tear the top of the heart off,with other parts of bullet ripping chunks out of lungs.That Deer officially was wacked.So having done my duty to the overall eco system by "harvesting" said Deer,it then frees me up to ride M/C.

    I have an old friend that hunts deer and turkey on a big farm south of Appomattox. I'm heading out there for those silly birds soon :thumb

    and there's 18 acres near here where we have permission to thin the herd
