So it`s now February, is HPTA done for good? You show an Enduro and maybe a Texas round.

No we're not "done for good", geezus. The Enduro event is the same weekend as the MWVTA season opener in SanYo (unfortunately), and things are moving forward to host a Texas State Series in April. Beyond that I don't know, I'm not on the Board this year.

Hasn't been much discussion on schedule. I would have thought maybe at the last event, which I missed.

Unfortunately my next trip to NM will be after the 9 February San Y event:flush The 1 April San Y event is a strong possible:happay unless we are forced to return to Okie early.

I figured you had a lot of things to do in this transition.

Well the whole point was to work less and enjoy more. Not that I don't enjoy working, I do, but Nirvana will come at the cost of work:permazot

Now I have tentative permission to attend the April Fool San Y event. The next HPTA at Turkey, TX will catch me between trips, so I'll either have to come from OK or NM to get to it. Good thing I'll have a trials bike in either place.

A week late, but scoreboard pic. A lot of riders were scared off by the weather forecast, but it didn't turn to crap until the following day. Good times with awesome folks, though. :thumb

Still looking for Trialsmasters for this month's event. If none come up soon, may have to cancel. :(

Still and all, Hair of the Dog is on for Haystack. Yours Truly is the TM. :D

It would have been perfect and Lance needed some company. I was back in OKie and the Fantic and I were hungry for a ride!

Then my uncle goes into the hospital. Then Mom falls and dies a week later. My aunt dies. In the middle of all this a huge ice storm takes the grid down for us until last night.

    Otherwise....

    Well hell.

November HPTA event at Lake McClellan got cancelled due to no one stepping up to TM. Being a Trialsmaster with HPTA is ridiculously easy, just go and point out where sections are to be set, and the group goes out and sets them. Mark the loop. Do the Riders Meeting and Awards if you want (there's always someone present who isn't public speaking shy).

I suppose I could have done it, but I am already on tap to TM the Hair of the Dog Trial in January and be next years Prez. I was allowing someone else the opportunity to volunteer and have some fun. Durnit. :cry

Oh well. Hair of the Dog on track for January 1-2, Haystack Mountain OHV area, outside of Roswell, USA. Mark your calendars, kiddies! :thumb

I was closest and would have loved to TM, but not in a position to do so.

Mom died (she was 93 and lived a long and wonderful life). We're in the middle of dealing with everything.

2020 continues to suck, but it beats the alternative.

Hey, I get it. I had to miss my beloved Mosteller Cup this year because I was in the hot middle of dealing with my mom's estate, along with a no small amount of grief. Horrible year for lots of us.

    Here's to a MUCH improved 2021....

Yes, let us hope 'the alternative' isn't 2021! As an avid reader of history of the 20th century, I can confidently say it can definitely get worse. But one of my goals for 2021 is to cut off the many sources of aggravations and work on focusing on the simple and the positive. Like riding motorcycles.
