@nsx if you could make a picture of the folder and post it that would be brilliant!
I can email the info to you, but I don't know how to attach it so it can be viewed here.
With thanks to nsx:
Here for your Info are the tecnical info from my 1999 with carburator.
I hope you can read german.
Just out of curiosity, are there numbers known of how many bike's of each type where made? i.e. outback, motard and allroad? and in which country most of them where sold? Sweden or ?
Until 2003-2004 where built around 250 Motorcycles, but I don´t know how many motard, outback ....
@oldobi: you have a pic from your Highland outland?
Here are some photos from my old 99 Highland.

The nicest Highland Supermoto I have seen not my moto
Site with pics of outback being disassembled
Last year there were a total of 88 Highland registered in Sweden.
My 2003 highland started as a super motard with the big 6 piston billet front caliper. I sent the wheels to talon in the u.k. and they laced up 21" and 18" rims to my old hubs , they fitted but i had to shim the front caliper as it was hitting the spokes, i used 2 plain washers which wasnt that hard ! and looks just like an outback.
The suspension travel between the 2 models im not sure on but it works fine on my bike, any longer travel and you couldnt get on as it pretty high - im 6'.
One thing though i went for mx style width on the rims and although these are best for the dirt im now going to send them back and get the same width rims as ktm 990 adventure as i think itll suit it better for touring about.( and lots easier to fit the tyre)
I saw this message at the http://www.highlandforums.com/index.php?topic=628.0 from JustJed:
Well..., its something.
I found this webpage with all the models and years and pics: http://www.motorbikes.be/en/Highland_motorcycles.aspx
and this one in russian: http://www.ottomotto.ru/motorcycles/highland/
Has there been any progress? Can I buy one of the manifolds?
No progress made yet....wax is all made just need some time and decent weather to have a trip up to Johns and assemble the pattern on a bike.....no rush here as no running bike around.
I have been waiting years for this and it seems as if it will be more years before it is available, if ever.
Thanks for the response. It keeps my hopes up, sort of. Wish John would post something.
Well, well, look what I found in my inbox today:
Nice! Really sad what happened and what could have been by this point.
I wonder if there is a way to support this and other efforts.
Silly answer: Buy an engine or two or...
More seriously, this thing needs a chassis to mate with the engine. Since the counter-sprocket exits out the right of the engine, it will likely complicate re-using existing frames. It would be cool if they would ship a "crate frame" along with that crate motor.
