I've updated post #70 with all of the additional tracks I added, if you just want to import one file.

Is road Fs1417 that goes northeast out of Catalpa closed? So that you have to use Cr5351 that I think goes right past Catalpa cafe. Also is the bridge still out on Newton 3050 northeast of Jasper about 4 or 5 miles that goes southeast off hwy 7?

I'm pretty sure that FS1417 road has been closed for awhile now. I think this was my error when redrawing these routes to adhere to the roads.
I've corrected that so it stays on CR5351 which is the main route that goes past Catalpa Cafe.
I've updated the post #70 again with this corrected track Hillbilly18-2 161 Hub_Oark _SW as well as the post with the individual tracks.

Mike or someone living there will have to answer the bridge question on 3050.

I'm gonna try to check out the low water crossing on Newton 3050 (shown as 46 on Google maps) this weekend.
Last I knew it was still blow out but the creek is crossable above it if the water is at a normal level.

    Stand by for an update.

If this is the low water crossing on 3050 you are referring to, it's WASHED OUT as of today and since it rained yesterday the stream was uncrossable too.
Normally you could cross the stream in the water above the concrete.

Thanks for the responses. Looking forward to riding Arkansas again this year. I rode the TART years ago and got hooked.

If someone brings a laptop with Basecamp and the CityNavNA map installed (or the free OSM Generic Routable map), I’ll do a clinic one evening on making Garmin your bitch by taming your pile of routes/tracks.

I’m really hoping for nice weather and no Bomb cyclone bs. That’s a long drive for me. If I don’t make it, I’ll try to be at SLAP the following weekend but aiming for the Hillbilly.

If this extended forecast holds up, it's going to be a perfect weekend. A little rain here and there knocks down the dust so that would be welcome!

Hey Mike-You were my ride leader Friday on the Ar 500. We spoke Saturday morning just before I left about this event. I was pulling the u-haul with the Bl/Red KLR. Still being very new to these rides. I have several newbie questions please. 1) The three rides are all based out of this one location. 2) Are there three different tracks? 3) About how many miles each day are the rides. 4) I see where we can book lodging, what about meals in the area? I plan on coming thank you.

I’m not Mike, but yes rides are all based out of this one location. There are three main tracks with a few alternates for each depending on how long you want. In the tracks I posted, the mileage is in the track’s name. They are around 160-175 miles which is usually a full day with a stop for lunch. If you want to cut it short, just head north on Hwy 7.

The tracks+waypoints shows where food is in the area. The restaurant at the hotel is supposedly going to be open and Harrison is a large town that’s nearby.

There is a gas station about two miles north on hw 7 that has good breakfast, lunch and dinner short order.

Harrison is another 8 miles north with lots of food choices.

Jasper is 10 miles south and it has three cafes to eat at.

Anybody planning to be there and looking to ride Thursday afternoon?

If I get enough interest I will take a group out.

Planning on it, Mike. There's a road around Dogpatch you took us on last year that was close and pretty great. I hunted for it Saturday afternoon and damned if I could find it.

Lol that's the super secret backroad route.
I'm pretty sure I know which one you are referring to.
