Thanks, Yeah I've been following that series...very well done. I considered the habitat as well but having a hard time spending that cash when I have a FWC as well.

Looking forward to this build! On a side note, the wife and I stopped by the local Toyota dealer to check out a beautiful grayish blue 4x4 TRD Pro. 52k on the sticker!:bluduh

Followed your lifted Volkswagen van build back on KTMtalk as well as the unimog build here. You are very good at attention to detail. Loved the way the unimog build turned out. Looking forward to following this build.

I have a 2017 Toco as well with the pro grill of course!:-) Arctic white. I tried talking the wife into a habitat when I sold my Sportmobile Sprinter van. She was not having it, she wanted another van. So I bought a 2017 Transit.

A red one here with 2300 miles on it for $42.
I've never seen a Tacoma over $45k, Tundras can be much more.

I was looking at the fridges at the last Overland Expo in Flagstaff, since you could find just about all the big brands somewhere. I had been looking at the ARBs, but was having a hard time pulling the trigger due to price. Dometic had a nice trailer setup, and after looking at the ARBs, and seeing the Dometic units, I bought the Dometic 40 for a little more than half the price; thermal cover included. Dometic makes both, and pretty much every feature in the ARB I wanted was there. I have it mounted in my Jeep, and it gets used frequently, from camping, to just holding on to some groceries while I'm out running errands.

It's pretty light for moving around. Comes with both 12V and 110V plugs so you can move it into a cabin or something if you wanted to. Cools down really fast. I've really had zero complaints, even if it doesn't have the titanium-plated overland snob appeal of some.

Good review thanks, I don’t have personal experience with either yet :-). I see there are some newer kids on the block with separate fridge/freezer compartments...but man $$$
