Wow, I'll flip you a nickle at the swill to help defray the exorbitant costs. The other two cents are your responsibility.

I am going to try to make it. Bike almost ready. Have to cut more of the rear fender off so it will not hit the top of trailer swingarm pivot.

Weather calls for 90% rain on Fri/Sat, all the way to Fayetteville. I don't mind running into rain, but i sure an't going to start out in the rain.

I stumbled on to this thread a few days ago. Given the party's involved (committed?) to the affair I must confess some degree of skepticism re the outcome of the endeavor.
Normally I would throw in with a group such as this. But I have recently sold my predatory lending establishment and am committed until the end of April to assisting the new owner. Perhaps this is the First Annual.......?

We are closer to the launch date now. Weather aside, who is still planning to go?

Hey Jim, I feel like you should go on this ride, but I also understand the obligations and skepticism.

I would like to point out that a gathering of the bluegrass variety, will be the focus of my travel, the weekend of April 16, in a location that you have visited previously.

Nah, the battery died and won't recharge. I borrowed one from 10Cup (Life saver) to use for the trip. I am also updating my map files on my S4 for Locus Pro, it's been a while since I have messed with as my 276c has never screwed up before. I'm hoping Albie will give me a refresher on how to use it tonight.

I am just about done with maps. The further east we go, the more towns we run through. This means gas is plentiful and I suspect camping and grocery stores will be too. I am just refining and North and South route through Arkansas so we can have choices coming back. I will post them in the next couple of hours as I am still verifying them in GE. I will have them up for sure tonight after the swill. I will bring your charger and plug with me tonight.

Since the routes are not easy to find and download, here they are in order.

Leg A - Elkins to Choctaw

Leg B - Choctaw to Helena

Leg C - Helena to Oxford

Leg D - Oxford to Corinth

Leg E - Corinth to Minor Hill (our furthest point East)

Leg F - Minor Hill to Caruthersville

Leg G - Northern Route - Caruthersville to Lake Norfolk

Leg G - Southern Route - Caruthersville to Big Flat

Leg H - Big Flat back to "Leg G Northern Route" which takes us back to Fayetteville

If I have somehow managed to screw all of this up, let me know and I will try to unscrew it. :D Note, I loaded all of these to Locus Pro and to my 276c and they seem to work fine.

Loading them on a Garmin? You already don't have enough time. Should have started that about a month ago. :deal

Thanks, Charlie, you are the man!!!!
I'm finally back (yeah, yeah, "You were gone?"...). I am more fouled up than normal, so who knows what I'll be bringing. I updated the first post and just linked to your single post with all the latest routes.

NOTE: You other FF's are seriously considering following Charlie and my routes and lead???? The only person that makes more wrong turns and bad decisions than Jump-Under-The-Bike-Wrong-Way-Charlie is me.......you guys are dumber than we thought.

In spite of all the In-Out games you boys are playing, this list is the best I know. Can anyone verify any going/not going?
The "catch up" crew is a cluster....they can chase our SPOTs.

Departure date March 21 from Casey's on Hwy 16 in Elkins, AR. Let's shoot for departure (KSU) at 8:30am.

Those of us that have SPOT locators as far as I know are Magoo and myself. The links to our SPOTS are in our respective signature lines. If your significant others want to follow along they can by clicking our links.
