Hi Buddy! Got the panniers! Will mount this weekend, I have been busy! You too I think.

One thing, only for idea as I see your new pics:

In USA red reflector always faces rear and amber/yellow faces forward. Must, otherwise people see you going wrong way. If accident bad news for fault possible!

Some folks like the locks to face the back, some to face the front, so perhaps you think to only include the Red and yellow stickers inside and let the buyer apply?

Anyway I am very happy with product. Anyone stateside wondering, feel free to PM me. Konvoi does nice job, worth the cost. Also for mounting to Givi rack look to Happy Trails in Idaho. 50 buck mounting kit, measure but .710" with a bit of rubber spacing does the job.

    Cheers!

Question to the guys in the US who have bought panniers from konvoi:
are you getting hit by import duty fees? If yes, how much?

    Thanks.

Zero. Post office delivers like regular mail. Value is low (230 euro = 325 dollars) and freight is not dutiable, only product value anyway.

That is not to say that in Florida the post office and CBP do not take a different approach. Out here on US West coast I have never been tagged with duty on mail imports, as always YMMV.

    Cheers,

    Matt

No duty on my two boxes or custom mounting racks. Total three packges, delivered two first day, third a day later. No duties due. Some crush damage, and I had to bend the mounting racks a little to realign the mount holes with frame holes. They are VERY solidly mounted now, and it's easy to bang out dents or replace rivets as needed. Two spare corner pieces were included, and I beleive that's all I'll need for the first couple of SERIOUS crashes.

    These are very nice looking!

Just got 2012 650 Vstrom and I am looking for panniers. The Previous year pannier mounts will not fit the 2012.

Are you making them to fit this bike yet?

    Thanks, Dan

Packing material and weight for post seem to be a concern. I did just tonight clear rtv seal the inside seams and black rtv seal the outside, masked, smoothed. All is good. Otherwise you may get water or dust ingress.

    Cheers.
