I just made some very basic drawings in Paint.
The main dimensions are in there.

You're not Robinson Crusoe, it took me a second to realise he'd been kind enough to give you a handed drawing. Either that or he's the first draftsman I've seen that does a mark out drawing from below looking up.
May want to hit him up for the relevant RL's, too.

There is a very simple reason for this: My sidecar is parked on its side in my Garage so I've been looking from below!!
First is good... unless you're playing Russian roulette with a .45 ACP.

So both attachment points are the same height and offset from bike centerline?
I remember seeing another setup where the front mount was higher than (and / or closer to?) the center line than the rear mount. This caused the car's wheel to turn into the turn when the bike leaned.
something in here triggered the old idea maker. I swear someone commented about the sidecar being like a trailer and it hit me to allow the sidecar to autosteer. I tossed together a not to scale drawing to show one idea of what I mean, the only real requirement with this setup is that the single wheel has to be aligned with the front steering pivot for the rig, it could be outside the sidecar or centered under it using a scooter swing arm and wheel. (left turn, straight, right turn, respectively) it might make things complicated in rough terrain so a pivot lock would be a good idea.
No. I didn't make a drawing of the attachment points but the front is 75mm higher than the rear mount
You remembered correctly. The lean/steer works realy well.
As you can see in this photo, the front attachment point (right) is higher than the rear attachment point.
This part of the subframe is mounted under and in the centerline of the motorbike.
(don't pay attention to the black square part, that was just a tool for positioning.)
In theory this might sound like a good idea.
But have you ever tried to push a shoppingcart at high speed? Trailing wheels always start to wobble...
OFF TOPIC but this is why one should recheck toe in on a rigid outfit after adjusting lean out. Uneven mounts can make the sidecar wheel 'steer' which equates to a toe in change on a rigid.
Floyd 'pop' Dryer did a rigid sidecar with a caster wheel on it years ago. Some are still around. One guy I know has one...it works well but he said it is a bear to push backwards...lol. BTW... Pop Dryer was a dominating racer in sidecar circle track racing and ran a leaner even though it wasn't 'driven' like a leaner. These guys would push off the sidecar with their right leg in the turns to lean the bike. (oval tracks have left hand turns) They say the joke was that you could tell a sidecar racer due to his right leg being bigger than the left one .
shopping cart casters have very little trail to make them easier to spin and reverse. its the same with a trailer: the longer the tongue the more stable it is. (and these days there are plenty of single wheel trailers with no wobble) also it would be easy to have a shock to dampen and stabilize the pivot. at high speeds it would be a very slight steering effect, it would be most noticeable at low speeds with greater handlebar input, so without the need for quick response and sudden changes, a stiff shock could be used as a steering damper.
Not trying to convince anyone else to do it, I have no problem being the pioneer on some random quack idea ;-)
perhaps I will start to actually design it up in CAD so I can do some FEA work on the structure and once I get far enough along start my own thread about it.

I'm very interested to see what your ideas are, after all, if we all just copy what another one has already tried, we won't invent anything new won't we?
If this is going on a leaner, I'm trying to figure out that will hold the front of the car up.
Maybe a really large diameter pivot pin with a thrust bearing between the mounts, but it would seem to be a lot of stress there, and require significant bracing of the hack chassis.
