    The Rally tank is .6 gallons more....sounds ineffective...but compared to my "L" it's a definite improvement...and the Rally gets better MPG than my "L" and it's not even broken in yet. Ride a WRR....my riding buddy had one, spent $$$$ on suspension, and it still did not impress me, and he ended up selling it. My Rally is much more than a CRFL with a windshield...but all those added plastic bits and LED headlight are $$$$ to replace.

    Yes I have road the Honda Rally with and with ABS along with many other bikes with abs
    some may like it some may Hate it ------To each there own --------- Just enjoy your ride

    A side comment regarding ABS & rear brake on the Rally. My 2013 CRF-L and 2017 Rally started out with worthless brakes. They require many applications of brake cleaner to the rotors and the pads require many scuffings and cleaning with 80 grit emery cloth....then dedicated stops and go's. My rally has ABS... after repeated stops with rear brake only things got bedded in and I was able to FINALLY feel the ABS kick in gently and tell me the rear brake was finally able to start locking up the rear tire on good smooth pavement. The larger front brake on the Rally is very capable....significantly better than the "L". Only issue with the Rally is there is soooo much nosedive on heavy braking....but $$ at RaceTech and other providers can help cure that.

    I won’t even touch the front brake on all this loose dry silt we have in the west at the end of the summer drought. I actually two-finger my right thumb so I won’t reflexively grab that lever.

    The rear brake on this Honda is exemplary in both effect and feedback.

    A WRR is more expensive and not the kind of machine you cross continents with. Apples and oranges.

    Put the suspension to the ultimate test yesterday, 10km steep uphill,tight switchbacks, loose gravel and corrugations probably 4 inches deep. Because it was steep and the power nature of the Rally it's necessary to keep the revs up, the result being grip -no grip and the shock unable to fully rebound leading to a fully compressed shock. With the front also compressing due to not being able to float over the corrugations, so with both ends fully compacted, ie no suspension the shuddering through the bike was enormous as well as little control. With no cush drive huge stress was put on the chain and gearbox but with no apparent affect. So in summary the suspension is ok in easy circumstances but when put to the test it is woefull. To be fair I don't think any suspension would completely cope with these conditions but it would definitely be an improvement. Now where's my credit card

    for a big guy the wrr is far too small ..the stock suspension is woefully too soft . and the rear shock needs replacing if your contemplating luggage of any sort ... its 2bhp extra and less weight make it a bit more lively up top but it isnt exacly super smooth and fells very buzzy at 70mph ..

    i was totally undewhelmed by it ..it feels like what it is extreamly small ....crf 250l has more punch in 1st gear off the bottom revs for sure ..... it takes to long to pick up and then its off like feck power is to high up for a bike that has none ..it would be better if it took the top end revs and stuck em at 4k where its well short ...it would require some fairly radical gearing down for me to make it work off road properly

    it just too small for me pegs to handlebars is plain wrong for a big guy

    You race RR?? I thought that those were merely navigation events, not real racing.

    Pretty sure that it was a guy from Finlandia who filled us in about RR's dirty little secrets. Perhaps you know him? He's often found at the parlour's, getting a hot sardinezZz oil massage from a herd of ladyboizZz :)
