This all seems silly. In the last few days the site has had some apalling traffic. When i joined 6 months ago it was one of the best threads. People were super nice and the focus was on the bikes. Can we all take a big breath. Un ban our friend, let bygones be bygones and go back to talking about the crf250 rally. Appeal for sanity and human compassion over.

Fair enough. Just reckon the best way to get the guy back on board would be to explain the situation to the mods (in case there was a misunderstanding).

When I was considering purchasing the Rally I looked for information on-line and found the Project Honda CRF 250 Rally site. It was clearly a personal blog and non-commercial. I found the information very helpful and it helped push me over the line, in terms of the decision to buy the bike. Webbiker has apologised for the error he made and seems to accept the 'punishment'.

    I don't get it either ...

Sadly that blog post - great though it is ... only talks about the same regular pre-load adjustment.

Could you and your mechanic in Switzerland have been at cross purposes @maxtee_crf ? Can you PM me his contact details?

Yeah, as I said in posting 2169 a couple pages back....what other opportunities are possible? Only thing I can see is remove the shock, make a spring compressor...documented WAAAY back on the CRF250L owners thread....add a spacer ring, reassemble the shock assembly, reinstall...etc etc etc. Well if you're gonna fiddle with all that, BUY A NEW SPRING!

Another vote for Webbiker's blog - it's helped me on accessory installs.

It's amusing to see who keeps pushing the blog like there's no tomorrow and who appreciates it but don't necessarily say so in every other sentence

I've used the kind that fold back when crashing made in china and are all over evil bay. The brake lever is wonderful....the clutch lever is junk...pivot hole wrong size, and when remachined to work there is something odd about them as the max cable pull just isn't enough for proper clutch action. but I only wanted a 2 finger brake lever anyway, price was dirt cheap, so I'm good with the deal.

Just imagine how great it was in the first few years of the site?

Due to serendipity in 2014, I linked up with the Dual Sport Riders of Louisiana who party in the Homochitto National Forrest of Mississippi yearly, and I was surprised that hardly anyone comes to this site. This one guy said he used to read ride reports on this site, like all day long, but he stopped viewing. His chief complaint was too many assholes. I was kind of confused.

After enough time here, you will find this place is like a big city. The more the population goes up, the more crap citizens there are. Some folks head back out to the country, some never leave.

ADVRIDER'S theme song for the last few years.:D

These are from Japan not sure that makes much of a difference.
I have contacted the seller to ask about fitting.

I fitted the Zeta levers tonight. No problems with fit and finish but they're expensive compared to the cheap ebay versions. I've got some cheap adjustable ones on my Tenere and they've proved perfectly fine so I'm not knocking them.
