I plan to add heated grips. What’s the best keyed electrical place to tap power from? Thanks.

There is a switched plug on the left side behind the radiator.
I would recommend getting a kit from Eastern Beaver. It plugs in to that plug and provides three switched connections and one always on connection. It is the 4CS fuse panel kit.

The megabomb header does not stick out significantly and I would not worry about it burning your leg. I think it looks nicer than the other options as well.

What wheels fit... I'm changing from two bikes (one road one trail) to the 450L, I currently use Mousses on the trail bike but would like to be able to have a spare set of wheels and tyres for road use. Crf450R ? X? does it have to be post 2018 or do older wheels fit? CRF 250X/R ?
    Thanks in advance.

I don't see the brake side? ASV also makes a clutch side but no reply to brake side. WTF???

And factory levers have a crap angle, length and break when you go down. The aftermarket solves all of those issues. That said, if the factory levers work for you then rock on.

lol, riiiiiight! Haha, actually so far on this bike I’ve been lucky and the bark busters have been protecting mine quite well.

I broke my brake lever down to 2 fingers worth on my very first ride. Bike just fell over sideways and it snapped. It took about a month to get another. I carry a spare now but the bark busters have saved the levers from ALL the other falls.

I do the same 50/50 wheels for commuting, dirt wheels with mousse in front and tubliss rear. I picked up a set OEM L wheels from a sumo guy. Tusk has wheels available too. The front disc and pulse ring are only available from Honda.

Thanks for the lead tex68w. They had one in stock. I'm driving over on Saturday to pick up my CRF450L.

Well, here's the deal...if you don't move around on the bike and never fall over and always wear riding pants with leather leg inners, that megabomb bulge probably won't be a problem. But, the first time I rode the bike on the street with jeans on I noticed a huge 3" diameter burned-out hole had appeared with me never even feeling the heat through my boots! That pipe bulge is so hot, that if the bike ever lands on you without protection on it or you, your skin will be mightily destroyed. A guard of some sort is warranted; sooner or later it will pay for itself. I just use a section of universal two-stroke pipe guard from a < $30 Tusk product - makes all the difference.

Glad to hear that it worked out for you. Post up what kind of deal you got on it and be sure to share some pics when you get her home.
