from what i experienced.. the jd tuner was the cheapest mod to prevent flame outs for my kinda riding but the instant drop of power when letting off the throttle was unnerving. My wrists would hurt after 3 hours of riding
the vortex, though pricey, makes the bike so much more tamer and no more instant front end dips when you let go of throttle..
i hope your thottle tamer and pc help. From what i read the pc only adds power

Because it’s not stock, will the Vortex harm the engine in any way? Easy to install?

Cody Jinks came to play at the Lynchburg Festival this Summer. Festival is small, but didn’t bother Cody. Glad you liked the area.

I’m getting close. BP and 1400 miles and can’t fully shake the jerk. I’m getting better at compensating, but for me I ride for pleasure, not to play tug of war. All that said, I’m not bailing on this beautiful Beast and the Vortex seems to be favored by those much smarter than me. Thanks for your opinion!

Give it time, it smooths out after around 1500 miles. Patience, says the one that has almost none...

That’s more mileage than me. I’m only at 1,000km.

You should get the V, you won’t regret it.

Save your money for gas. Learn how to ride this motorcycle stock, break it in. Put at least 1500 miles on motorcycle before YOU decide if you want to modify. I have 6500 km/4000 miles on mine, still stock. Never stalls, even if I try, very little herky jerky throttle. This is a powerful motorcycle. Has lots of low end torque.

I’m still searching for before and after vortex dyno charts showing how the vortex changes torque delivery. If anyone sees such a graph please post it.

I've never seen a Torque chart published by CDI.

    JD published this Torque chart

What's up with that weird dip in the stock curve from 5.5-6k rpms? Does this same oddity show up on charts down by others?

Yeah. Just ride it. Dyno charts are for Screamin’ Eagle Stage 3 Harley guys to argue over at the bar. Worthless for dirtbikes and dualsports.
