You need to read the forum more, you can't cross the country on anything under 1000cc. Do you have a ride report? If so I would like a link to it, since the pcx is one of 3 bikes I'm interested in.

That's unfortunate concerning the insurance. The two times I had to use it, I came out far better than I thought I would.

I know we all want to be conspicuous while riding, but those strips of tape on the windshield need to go. :rofl

You might consider adding running lights to the front of the scooter, and add yellow lense covers. You would be way more visible to oncoming traffic and it would actually look pretty good.

Yeah, they eventually turned pale grey and I took them off. But it was a quick and easy way to scream at sleepy oncoming drivers in the twisties and monotonous Midwestern highways.

I don't know if lights get more attention than some bright and unusual patterns. Seems like many vehicles get those little lights and they become trivial and blend in. I would actually like to have a professionally painted front screen, either to be white or lime green.

I might put some reflective white stripes on it eventually.

I'm not sure if you have seen a quality LED aftermarket light with the yellow cover, but they bring lots of attention. It really is the way to go.

By the way, I totally agree with you in regards to being seen. I have had too many close calls.

How many miles do you reckon a well maintained pcx can do in it's lifetime?

So the exceptionally helpful agent office girl looked up my policy, and first couldn't find it. Eventually finding it sitting in the underwriting dept left unprocessed. Turns out it was liability only; which is not like me, I carry a nearly absurd level of insurance on the vehicles here in Denver. Mix tourism, and legal weed, and internationally plated cars driving around; and I'm not afraid to pay for good insurance. Well... since it's liability only, and I would never do that, and I can't ask the office girl who i spoke to, because it sure seems like a family business... Everyone... looks... exactly... the same, so they're not gonna throw their own under the bus.... You can figure how that played out. I don't have that agent any more, and I'm still rethinking the parent company for the whole shebang.

That sucks, but dont you get a proof of insurance and a written statement of your coverage?

Normally yes, and I take my responsibility on this part. I've gone towards the app. I didn't have anything to take with me; all the while, at work busy season was kicking off. It was a perfect suck-storm that set up this situation.

I'm sure my question has been answered somewhere in these 110 pages, but I'll be damned if I can find it. I have a 2016 that I bought new. Shortly after the purchase I received some recall notice(s) in the mail. Something to do with rear rack? At the time I had no intention of ever adding a topcase, so I disregarded it. I'm thinking now I might want to add one. Can anybody tell me what this recall was about? Can I still have it done outside of the warranty period?

It was a recall for the original Honda accessory rack as sold in the USA market.
If you buy an aftermarket rack and case you are unaffected.

Here's some pics of mine. Also did the diagonal, but my caliper is only 5" so used a tape measure. The diagonal was 5.5"

Yes, that will work, and it says so on the listing.
