My order has been placed, the deposit made, just 2 more weeks of agonizing wait. My girl is clad in a gorgeous Bordeaux Red. Optioned with DCT for health reasons.

It's been 8 years since I've been in the saddle. I can't wait to taste the florida lovebugs!

Picture included of a generic 1100 Bordeaux Red cause I just think it's a stunning bike.

I love how the P-Twin permits a totally different profile shape than your typical metric cruiser with a vtwin.

It's a seriously good looking bike!

Are you planning on accessorizing your Rebel? And if so what do you have in mind?

The don't like the Two Brothers or Vance & Hines exhaust because they point upwards directly at the saddlebag area.

I bought the black DCT model mid-March and at the same time ordered the Honda batwing windshield, ballistic nylon bags, bag supports and solo rack. Everything I ordered was on backorder except the bags. So far I got the bags and the solo rack came a day ago. I couldn't wait any longer for the windshield so I put on a Memphis Shades Big Shot windshield with trigger lock mounts and cancelled the Honda windshield. I have also put on a set of Seven Speed handlebar risers, Cyclops LED driving lights, mounted a Garmin Montana 610 GPS with a 12v always hot power port and put on a set of H2C mini floorboards. Being from ND it didn't get warm enough to ride much until May. As of today I have 3269 miles on it. I'll post up some pictures later.

I need some saddle time before I decide on floorboards. I'm taller so the pegs might need to go forward first.

We've got a black DCT in stock at work. Wouldn't order the DCT myself but I was very impressed by it cruising up to 30 in the parking lot. I think Honda knocked it out of the park on this one.

    Mine will be in Tuesday.

DCT's aren't for everyone, but they do open up riding to people who otherwise can't ride.

I was shocked at how buttery smooth it was at takeoff and the 2-1 downshift. You'll love it I'm sure.

DCT's are also awesome for very experienced riders, fabulous in the right hands, takes riding to another level.

Shattered my leg about twenty years ago, I am still riding with the standard clutch, but I can tell there is a time coming in the not too distant future where that ankle will not be able to shift. I have ridden Honda DCT in the VFR1200 and it's a great, intuitive system and it works really, really well. I think I am probably good for one more manual bike and after that, I'm likely getting the ankle fused or replaced, and then it will be DCT time.

BTW congrats on your bike. It looks awesome. Honda has done what it always does which is completely upend a genre of bikes with something brand-spankin' new. I think the new Rebel will be a big success.

I saw one for the first time the other day, it was a black one, sharp bike! You make the right choice, though, as I think the burgundy looks better! I'm not a cruiser guy at all, but I really like this bike, I think Honda hit a home run.

Sadly, no. The dealer is waiting for the transport. It should be any day.
