Beautiful day here in San Antonio = 72 degrees for a high and the sun came out playing.

We managed to squeeze in a short ride on the Super Cubs.

I think your epic ride should be to Asheville. Ride the Blue Ridge Parkway and the dragon. Then sell those Cubs to me and fly home!

    DOUBLE-OG,

Congrats on the new parts coming your way. I look forward to hearing how you like the new seat-I bet you will dig the Cub even more considering your height. Will the stock rear rack work or will you have to order a different one?

I can sell you one whenever you want! Would you be okay not having a title? That is the $64 question. :D

The current rear rack will not work with the new seat. I can buy an OEM rack from Thailand:

Yes! But with lots of sightseeing and relaxation. San Antonio to Pensacola is about 850 miles. We are looking at 20 days for the round trip. It's not a cannonball/ iron butt/ chimichanga kinda thing.

Lol! Ah. Ok. Someday you can fly up, borrow my scoot and ride the area.

850 miles would be awesome. You are so fortunate your wife shares the joy of riding!

Gotta stop to smell the roses (and eat at the good restaurants) along the way. Besides, there might be a bunch of daily "side trips." Plus, some time in FL once they get there.

I know it's only about 80 miles per day. But if I'm going to do the Gulf Coast, I gotta take some time to enjoy the beach. :evil

Yes I am. I have thought about trading her but I know I'd never get as much happiness out of a different model. :lol3

I've lived within 5 miles of the pacific ocean for 31 years..... i rarely visit it any more. Though a morning cruise down the coast is still fun.

in all of my 2 wheel travels, I've decided that 250-300 miles a day is a good day. yes, i can do more 600+ but it takes a lot of enjoyment out of it. I've ridden stock 50cc mopeds 350+ miles in a day..... on 2.5 gallons of fuel.

We just came back from another ride today. We are taking advantage of the weather as it will change drastically over the next 3 days.

Lots of practice today. The wife is getting more and more comfortable using the semi-automatic gearbox. I am tempted to have her take the advance motorcycle riding class on the Super Cub. I am thinking it would be a good investment.

My parts from Japan are in transit from Chicago. Should be a couple more days before I get them. I can't wait.

My parts are in! The long seat looks pretty awesome! It's too late for today and probably tomorrow but I will try and see if I can install it on Friday. Pics to follow...
