Hey all I came across a used XL125 for sale with low mileage. It started fine but has a very loud tick , it is probably the cam shaft tensioner chain , the owner said he had a qualified motorcycle mechanic look at it but for hucks sake why didn't he do the simple adjust once the engine is warm that is supposed to take up the slack ....so that is red flag number 1 . A short test ride felt odd , the steering angle seemed like the front wheel had been pushed back , a strange feeling for sure . The bike steered straight and it looks ok from a side view . Back in 1980 i drove a XL125 for a while and liked the light weight and handling but what would cause the weird feel in this other bike I have no idea. Needless to say i didn't buy the XL125 for sale . Too bad that bike isn't still being made by Honda, great little trail bike and around town .
