Here are my tracks from this years Hope Valley ride. Mostly doable on GS's and such, except for the section on the east side of Silver Lake. That section is dirt bike only, and only rideable downhill. Enjoy!

When you say "section on the east side of silver lake". Do you mean the part that goes out past kirkwood or part of the loop?

    From 10 years ago?

The real fun section is the old original dirt Hwy 4.

There is a section of the track the loops around the east side of Silver Lake. I'm referring to the section at the end of the dirt road from Plasse's Resort, off of the emigrant trail, that then goes north, downhill, single track. It connects with Highway 88 east of Oyster Creek Campground. And I believe it's now closed to motor vehicles.

Thanks. I'll take a look to see if there is a way around that section.

I just bought the adventure so looking for good big bike rides. I have a 500EXC that I ride a lot of single track with but want to get more into bike travel.

Also I was noticing there was a route called "Ukiah Loop" on the Sunday Morning Rides site that looked interesting but the link to ADvRider was broken. you guys know anything about that ride? I couldn't tell if it was street or dirt...

If you have questions about a GPS Track, post the Track don't just use some local name.

It's a mix. All rideable with a bike bike. Take note the section going northwest of Stonyford has seasonal closures up to the ridge (my experience in the past). I also read there is a washed out road on or near that route south of Snow Mountain Wilderness. Check the MNF website and call them.

Thanks Cpt. Ron. Is the GPS file available anywhere? I couldn't get to it from that page. The link was broken... Do you know if it is mostly street or mostly dirt?

East of Covelo, near the eel river work station, it turns to asphalt going CCW. North of Potter Valley (after crossing the River), it turns to dirt again. Asphalt again east of the switchbacks descending from Indian Valley Reservoir, south of Stoneyford (Lodoga?). Soon after Stoneyford, dirt again.
