This morning in Big Lake, Alaska. It is the 19th of December 2007 and it is -23f

It isn't even the coldest part of the winter yet, here it is again for the second time this winter. It hit the same temps in November, but only for a few days then right back up to the 40's.

+1 at south anch. Didn't stop me from taking the tw out for a short ride yesterday. Will try for another on the 21. Thinking hob-nailed boots might be a good idea.

Here in beautiful downtown Slana it has warmed back up to a balmy -8F. Can't wait to get back to Glennallen, where the temperatures have been a bit more Alaskan.
BTW, planning on having breakfast Christmas morning in Deadhorse, but not riding up there this year :vardy - still don't have the engine heater on the Wing. :D Christmas dinner at the Prudhoe Bay Hotel is supposed to be steak and lobster! :dg

Funny- this whole entire subject reminds me of the "good morning Vietnam" bit that Robin Williams did on the weather- when the (fake) guy he called/immitated said "I said it was hot, damn hot, hot and humid, what in the hell else do you want me to say"

Except my character would say "Damn cold, ya, cold, my testicle are so far up my chest I am going to have to send a search party up my butt to find them" :D
