Coming to a county near you! Maybe.

I feel special as the the central "line" on the cone of death goes right past my house. This is almost like an invincible shield of awesomeness as the probability of it actually happening is naught...

Just in case they run out of water, I bought a case of vodka today. Looks like water. :deal

I was surprised at how not-busy this Target was, but then I learned the 'crush' was on until they ran out of water a few hours ago.

I wasn't there for water. On the way out, two guys stopped me and asked me if this store had water. As in all things Florida hurricane, if you make the choice to do X when it finally makes sense, you're already too late.

Hunker down! God, I got so sick of hearing that. Seriously, y’all stay safe down there. And keep Dorian away from South Carolina; Irma was bad enough. I had more damage here than the house in Florida and she went right thru my neighborhood practically.

We’re ready, I guess. I just have to decide when to bring all the plants and outside shit in.

Oh snap - I didn't expect it this early, but these seem to be the tips of the outer bands coming through. Lightning all around, and brown-outs. WTF, I was hoping for a few more days, yo.

At least they are sparse. Very intense spots, but then pass for a good while until another set move through. I think my weekend plans are shot.

The county has free sandbags if ten will do anything for you. I can’t see that being enough to do much.
I live on a rise, luckily.

    And the plot thickens.

Overnight, they shifted the track to go right over, similar to Frances and Jean in 2004. :bluduh:bluduh

Boynton Beach is current prediction. We're up the road in Lantana, might be a doozy.

Family member messages me this morning at, like, 6:20 AM. WTF? Oh, the storm trackers steered it to hit my area. Now everyone wants to message me.

FFS. No, I don't want to talk to you about the storm. No, I'm not leaving - gas is already sold out most places. No, I'm not heading back to the store - I have what I'm going in with, and they're all out of water.

I'd like to tell you to call me should you need anything, but I just traded in my capable truck on a Prius four weeks ago. You're fucked if I have to come save ya. :lol3

I’m in Jupiter, good thing I’m used to boondock camping every summer for a month. This mornings food shop was no different than my camping food run. They were all out of bottled water, but everyone in my area has clean tap water and there was a large water dispenser at the front of the store not being used. :fpalm

The only thing I wish I had is a generator, I know I’m going to lose power, but it’s a matter of how long. And the gen wouldn’t even be for food, I have an Engel 12v fridge and solar panel that will run that as long as I get sun every few days... it’s the air conditioning. After a day it will be 95 degrees inside my house.
