Jeebus! My new niece's family is in the Abacos. Her family names are Lowe and Pinder. Like a lot of Bahamians. We're worried.

Not at the house. Mrs was watching on the tube. I just caught glimpses as I walked by.

    This cunt is at 910mb!!
This so called 90 degree turn north ??? yeah right. Palm Beach county and points north are really in trouble unless a miracle happens...:(

The last Labor Day hurricane destroyed the Florida Keys and the railroad system, and the pressure was recorded at 892mb the lowest pressure recorded in the USA... In the Keys alone over 800 people died... We aren't far off this one people......

Seems we're now in a place where a Category 6 designation is needed.

New plan. This shit-show isn't turning North fast enough for any of our comforts.

Set the alarm for 4 AM, see what the projected path is then. If it hasn't started turning, decisions will need to be made by 6 AM. For the next hour I guess I'm packing a bag or two.

Been watching the guy at https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/
For the last few of these. I like the way he explains stuff with some backing of why.... and he doesn’t hype anything. He’s also been pretty well SPOT ON in the past

If any of you need to bug out to the panhandle, I have a small farm off I-10 near DeFuniak Springs, RV 50amp/water hookups. Tallahassee NWS says our area will have little to no impact at this time. I can fit a few bikes in my garage as well if you need to stuff them somewhere safe.

I’m in an evac zone but just barely, less than half a mile but 30 miles from the coast although 200 yards from the river. Stayin put unless it comes ashore then all bets are off, camper van is ready to go if things start looking grim.

A lot of CADS are scurrying around getting ready to go to Colorado and just hoping for the best Tues and Wed.

I'm far enough south that my evac would be to the Keys. That's some fucking strange shit.

Pulled out my Skillsaw to cut OSB to fit windows and it has a sheet metal blade on it. 24 tooth wood blade MIA. Making a run to Lowe's for a saw blade. :dirtdog
Still not convinced boarding up in Orlando is needed but at least I'll have wood cut to fit for the next one.

The view from the porch doesn’t change much. Sun showers, outer bands, whatever.
