Nothing dramatic ... got married... had a kid ... trying to restructure life so I have more riding time :) ... and in the meantime, rebuilding the Andes altitude record Berg ...

The custom graphics should look great on the rally Berg.

Dao, personally i wouldnt change the lense. If you have the reserve in stator output id fit a couple of mini 10w lamps pointing slightly out. Yes my AliExpress Baja copies are pencil like but i have an ADVMonster 60 doing the fill in duties. People are complaining about dealing issues with them though (ADVMonster), still you can get some nice cheap ‘side fill’ lamps off AliExpress.

I did some night ridiing last weekend and i could not believe how you could ride like it was daytime! Simply fantastic!

AliExpress, Ebay. They are brilliant. Easy to see with a quick glance.

Does anyone here use rim grease on their air filters? Over the years, I've gotten in the habit of using rim grease around the edge of my air filters and have been using it on my 70° Berg. However, these 70° Bergs have, arguably, the best designed (sealing wise) "airbox" of any motorcycle/dirtbike I've ever experienced. I was servicing the air filter today and realized there is probably no real need to use rim grease on the 70° air filter. What's the consensus with others? to grease the rim or to not grease the rim, that is the question.

I don’t on the Berg, but I still do on my Beta 300.

I don't, but there's enough air filter oil that gets along the rim I don't think there's any reason for it, especially since the filters sits on the rim.

Think I will keep lip grease. You can see crap migrating towards the seal. 20191026_083151.jpg

Another oil change, another clean bill of health. The screens were all spotless and only a very thin layer of magnetic "film" on the magnetic drain plug. I guess I would expect that at 49 hours and 1600 miles.

I'm not sure if it's just me being paranoid or if it's the internet getting to me, but I'm starting to pay more attention to cam chain sounds. I "think" it still sounds normal, but I may get the ol girl a Dirt Tricks tensioner for Christmas just to have at the ready for when she needs it.

For those same reasons I added a Dirt Tricks tensioner to the Berg last year. Damn internet.:hmmmmm

Edit: and besides, it's a bit of blue bling so it's always a good idea:photog

Yeah change it and be done with it. Saves the stress aye!

A ride a week ago a mates 500EXC was sounding a bit clangy. Told him to replace the tensioner with a dirt tricks regardless of whether its the tensioner or not. Its just one of those things not to wait till it needs changing.

Just Do It. I put mine on 3 yrs and 270 hrs ago. The change in cam chain noise is immediately noticeable after startup (quieter).
