Alot of us have, yet some feel it unnecessary, so a personal choice.

Most of mine, as i have three of these Bergs are the controversial Chinese hubs. They are a copy of the Haan. Plenty of people are running these now with great success.

As @AUSSIEADV mentioned, adding a cush hub is mostly a personal choice, depending on your type of riding. I added a Haan cush hub as I dual sport my Berg. As @jdubb75 mentioned, give the 70* Husaberg Adventure Traveller thread a look. LostRoadie (the author of that thread) put tons of miles on his 570 and has some thoughts on cush hubs.

Clake SLR finally fitted and working brilliant. Clutch is working fine still with the synthetic ATF. Took it for a squirt and all good. Oh, i dont think i mentioned here. I had to fit a Brembo clutch master for the SLR to be fitted. The Brembo is dot 4/5.1. Im trying synthetic ATF in it to see how the seals hold up. 60 hrs later all good.

Any 70 degree owners have a User Setting Tool they would sell?

Looks like E TN too, but then it'll be in the low 50s (err, 10-11 C for the Gumbies) and sunny through the weekend, so no biggie. :1drink

ATM its struggling to come mate. Have been getting snow down to 2,000ft. Still, this week is picking up. We have a 2 nite, 3 day ride this weekend across the Victorian high country.

    Berg is ready!

Parting out 2010 450 FX sometime in December (has been dual sported / San Antonio, TX)

First time posting and NOT a regular forum user - so not sure this is the right place / best place to try to get the word out(?)

Unfortunately, I had a cam chain tensioner fail (mostly me) and the top end of the 450 is pretty shot. There was some other residual damage in the head (mostly me) but basically the cost estimate to fix the top end is not something that I'm going to invest in this bike. Happy to share estimate that the mechanic gave me to anyone interested in the entire bike, two sets of wheels (dirt and dual sport) w/ various ratio sprockets, etc.. In essence, I think the bottom end / tranny is fine and reasonable condition of everything else on the bike.

I'm going to be traveling the next couple of weeks but will start to gather pitcs and more details in early December. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DIRECT ME TO A BETTER THREAD OR FORUM - but I thought I'd start asking here first.
    Thanks

Just keep in mind 450EXC parts rebuild the top end of these even the Cyl head. The only mod that needs to be performed is to drill and tap for the external oil line. Even a big bore kit will allow the original cyl to be used if needs be.

Any chance the City of Austin will reopen the off-road park?

    SJay,
This is the best place. Most of the 70 degree 'Berg fanatics are here. There is a little more exposure to the European crowd on the Facebook page.
I sent you a message, give me a call.

    Great - thanks Kyle,

I appreciate the info. I'll be traveling for about a week and a half and will be able to follow-up on the inquiries better after Thanksgiving.

    Have a great holiday,
    Jay
