you mean the new bmw that scott summers is contracted to race/develop at the GNCC level, but is (still) racing huskys instead of? curious as to where you are basing your assumption of superiority, brand loyalty myopia notwithstanding...

please bear in mind that i've got no dog in this fight. being an aprillia rxv owner, my brand choice is responsible for the disappearance of stefan merriman from WEC prominence...

go ahead and laugh the new BMW 450 is so far ahead advanced over the new Husaberg that when they line up in a fair race it will be like hunting squids on track day.

apparently there is some dark magic at work that nobody else has figured out in the past couple decades of competitive four stroke single engine development. naturally, a company whose main stock lies in continuing to find ways to make archaic flat twin 1-liter designs perform with all the pizzaz of decade old italian twins is going to have a leg up on everyone else, right?

or maybe it's the innovative genius behind the countershaft sprocket placement that yields hidden horsepower and handling magic that only other visionary geniuses like horst leitner could have conceived...

can't believe how long it took me to realize the hook you sank on that bait, flug. "like hunting squids on track day". daytona. 2 laps down. got it.

gonna take my internet ironymeter in for some recalibration. have a nice weekend...

i don't get it. how was this race not fair? what does 'you don't have to win a race to win a race' mean. how is daytona even remotely related to WEC competition?

he's in la la land.. the place you go where you don't have to win to win and being down two laps is almost winning the dayton 200 and BMWs have the best bikes in the world regardless of their poor results in racing against other brands in the last 25 years.

...but i think he's being ironic. judging from his comments on the daytona thread, flug doesn't seem like he's very enchanted by BMW claims of racing prowess. the "like hunting squids on track day" line is from a BMW ad.
