how comfy it became ?
There doesn't appear to be a lot of excess material left folded under the stock seat to allow for more foam. It might have 1/2" folded over the inside edge.
It made a noticeable improvement for me. I rarely ride more than a couple hrs straight and I move around/stand up a lot too so...
Also, I'm extra medium sized at 180lbs with my gear/armor.
I see there isn't much material on the 701's cover but an upholstery shop could add some along the edges to give a bit more room for foam.
As with most toys, it boils down to needs and budget.
bad picture, nice seat, nice price, custom made
Bloody good picture, nice seat, high price, custom made
Local upholster made this seat? How nice was the nice price, better than commercially available stuff?
Jacinto's seat was made by fellow inmate and 701 rider Nopper. He's lurking around on this thread.
price tou have to ask Nopper,
because he ask you wat you want, what collours etc... and then he makes it even in pink if you want it
I let it know in februari if it is really good, have to do some 800km daytrips wit it in januari, and other 10/12h riding days but that is more standing
I know Raymonds seats and it is a high price but when it is good the price is quick forgotten.
Hi All. Husky WR165 owner here, pondering the 701 as my second bike.
So you get potentially a softer piece under the firm piece? How thick was it and can I see a pic?
I also have a seat made by Nopper.
Good quality and I was a test case for the use of new type of fabric that looks like leather but is synthetic (correct me if I'm wrong Nopper)
At the moment I already use it for half a year, longest trip was about 500km in a day.
Quality of the seat is really good, no visible damage from falling/weather conditions or wear the moment.
Seat comfort is much better then the original, but since it's custom it depends on what you choose.
For me the seat is perfect as it's a bit higher, and flatter so it's easier to move around. At the sitting spot it's a bit wider to add comfort.
I couldn't agree more. I know I'm a little weird but I just love my ass. It's so special... to me. No money is too good for my ass. The Rayz with the three different materials was 450 euro.
This Rayz seat is very comfortable. Together with the shorter sidestand, they are the best mods I did on the bike, by far.
Local dealer has received their first '17 Enduro. Its pre-sold.
Local dealer has 17 Enduros in. No SMs.
Same here, local dealer pre-sold all (7) 701E delivered this week and so as the second batch of 7 units in mid-Jan.
I guess GB and Di's (mis)information campaign was ineffective.
Can't say we didn't try
Ok, 450 euro is not too much for the ass-saver.
Several '17 enduros available but not a single SM. Wonder why?
Vibrations. The 2017 Enduro's hide the ginormous vibrations behind knobbies. The SM can't.
KTM want to have the default option available to buyers since they removed the 2017 690 Enduro from their website.
