When I changed the oil weight (lighter weight) in my Husky 630 and increased the air gap it was night and day different from stock configuration. This solved the issue I was faced with, granted I wasn't altering suspension characteristics for specific race courses in an attempt to win but it did solve the problem for what I used the moto for.

That said, it also depends a lot on tire choice.
I don't care about punctures in my rear tire because I run 0 psi because the sidewalls are so stiff.
Front, not so much, but as you say, the punctures are easy to fix.
GT216aa in the front, you can tell when it's below 10psi

I’m getting one soon... but I’m working out the bugs in my knees and legs after the last bit of passing on a street bike.....

Thanks. I wasn't sure about the huskys, but I know that my X Challenge is known to have soft splines on the shaft that would strip over time if it wasn't a good fit

Can someone tell me what's the most powerful Shorai battery that will fit in the 2020 501s?
    Is it the lfx14l2-bs12? lfx14l2-bs12.jpg

Are those Dirt Trick? If so are they really worth the extra cost?

View attachment 1952917 View attachment 1952911 that's the one I installed on mine. Had to add an 1/8" of padding on the back side of it, slightly smaller than oem. The plastic battery bracket hold down didn't sit quite right so I had to bore out the hole with a round file to get the screw to grab.
I couldn't find the specs on the oem battery just for sake of info (skyrichbattery) Regardless mine was weak, maybe due to poor setup or charge when bike was prepped. Just want to add a big shout out to Moto Minded if they are on this site. Installed mini dash to monitor voltage, relocate switches, USB ports etc.

Pulled the shinko fatty off the front of my 501 (I absolutely hated this tire for the 501, horrible sidewall flex, slow numb steering) and replaced with a Pirelli MT16. The shinko was 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs) heavier, no wonder the bike felt like such a pig with it on.
