I mounted mine behind the headlight fairing. I can see the lights blink and it makes me feel good.

@Anatoli all great recommendations! I will look into the flexbars. I am Also interested in a damper of some kind for the pegs.

To pull the rear WP Exact shock '20 FE501s , you need to remove the swingarm pivot and move the swing arm back after you pull the the rear brake master?
Yikes! Any one have tips on this rear shock removal?

Is there a "bullet" to reinstall the pivot bolt and not cut up seals ?

You do not need to remove the swingarm. I have had a couple off and all I removed was the muffler and mid pipe. Really easy

Ok, anyone know what this plug is supposed to go to? I took apart the front of my bike to install the Motominded supermount and am left scratching my head. See the red arrow. IMG_5837.jpg

I only recently learned that a similar plug is left open on my '16 501s. You can put a dongle on there and it allows the whole electrical system to light up with just the key on. Without it attached, you can only use lights/blinkers/horn etc... while the bike is running.

Thanks for the response, I don't think that's it. I have a similar plug on my '17 500 ECX to the one you're describing, this one is totally different.

I'm not sad about the vibes:) It will just keep me off road more:)
On dirt, all the seat discomfort disappears, the vibrations are not that apparent anymore, its just a hoot!
All that being said, OneManWolfPack, how are the flexx bars on the road? Do they eliminate the vibrations? I understand that they are most effective while standing, but are they isolating the bars enough to eliminate the vibration from the engine?

Thanks Fast1. Unfortunately I'll need a shop manual to figure this one out. There's nothing in the regular owners manual that shows me that wiring schematic.

My 2020 FE 350 S has the same plug and it has a rubber cover. It doesn't go anywhere.

Not I running the flexx bars. The 501 does have some vibes but they seem so minor compared to it's olsder KTM 300 stablemate.

Maybe cause people are finding out who they truly are. I've been anti social for years so I already know I'm an add among other things. Lol

I've also got the shop manual, however it is for an older vintage. For what its' worth, I was able to find it on line for ~$30 and it does have the complete wiring schematic.
