TripleClamp Moto R&D session
Did you read interview of the boss Pierer recently? Short clip to turn the knife in the wound..
..what we are doing is basically very similar to the car industry. The engine platform is the most expensive part of development, especially in motorcycling. You have to create such platforms then share them among your different brands; otherwise, you’ll run out of money...
But it’s also a big help to have two brands in a family which contrast with one another because KTM is a very sharply positioned brand—it’s ready to race, it’s always trying to be in pole position on the starting grid. If you show up with a KTM, everybody’s expecting a good hard motorcycle, and especially for beginners, it’s not that easy. But Husqvarna is more accessible, a little bit softer, a cool-riding brand—I know it sounds crazy, but I think Husqvarna has to go up against Honda, whereas for KTM to me the real serious competitor, who I like very much, by the way, is Yamaha. So it’s as simple as that.
For the 901 concept, it looks awesome. Better than 790 in aesthetic way. Also Triumph looked good.
But 790 has what is needed for my adventure riding and that's the beauty those bikes don't have.
edit. 950/990 is the best bike ever - until you make the expensive mistake and try 790
Here you go... subframe is made of steel. No spec is released, no we don't know the weight. It doesn't look like the fairings can be put on the 790 ADV.
Tomorrow the show opens to public and you will see a million photos online.

@ramirin that was a cruel reminder
That sentence was like pure evil... Boss Pierer I salute you for that blasphemous comment
Where can we let Husqvarna know that they should start making this beast?
Would like some online form to have as many people as possible to encourage them making this machine!
wow...Husqvarna is more accessible and softer...damn
All the quote sounds wierd to be off of Pierer mouth...
Give it six months for the big dealer discounts...
Can I be the first to call it Denis?
If that is true, would Husky be able to build more than a bike or two?
Back home from EICMA.
My buddy had to drag me away from the Norden...
That is one ugly bike.
