Please guys do yourself a Big favour and go over to the Orange Crush forum and educate yourself for awhile, :deal
because it's a shame if you miss out of some really great bikes due to this kind of rumours...

No worries, if I wanted one I'd buy one. My question was kind of rethorical.

The 790 got my attention, this sealed the deal. Certainly keeping an eye on this thread.

I've been watching the V85TT thread since last year's EICMA. Now this......
Gotta say, I'm a big fan of shaft drive, air cooled MG stuff. But I'm also a fan of having a dealer base. Like in the same town instead of 6 hours away.

Too bad it’s getting the Orange lump of 790-family engine and not the Nuda900/rotax898 imo...

The KTM 790 seems to be a good engine, and I wonder if that BMW/Rotax lump would be Euro 5 compliant.

(I’m still sad the Nuda 900 was never sold in the US though...)

It's not. And the Norden, if brought to production is likely to get the new 890 mill, hence the 901 designation.

I know it's the new 890 mill (which shares a lot of its genes with the 790)

Why do some people assume that only non owners comment the un-reliability of some bike brands?
I ride and own an EXC250TPI.
And it is not rumours, it is my riding friends having problems.

Do you use it for travelling to Sahara? I bet not. I have no problems, either, but use it for single tracks only. A couple of hours at once for a nice workout and then back to a garage. Regular maintenance and a complete inspection every ten hours and the bike runs great. With the problems my friends have, I wouldn't take it for a trip to another continent.
Anyway, my answer was to kzeb, who said that I need to go and learn about KTM's at Orange crush forum.

K... I’ve been working on bikes for 20yrs. I run a non-brand outfit. I have a general idea where I get my income from.

"Norden" Meaning "the North" in Scandinavian languages. Often used as a reference to the nordic countries,

I watched a documentary on two guys riding to Russia, both broke down , twice apiece. But you have to live with this they are not Honda's, relatively small producers always have some issues, fix them move on. I still think this Norden looks a nice piece of kit, I would be quite happy to have one sat in my yard. Would be good to see these guys doing well, it look to my traditional eyes a more attractive bike than the angler KTM's. And no I am not knocking KTM's they are a great bike just a bit too much unattractive plastic for me. a dealership in Thailand would however be a good start for me ?

Yes i looked it up too, I'm just saying if that name is on the tank like the prototype, which it probably wont be, that will be the first question from everyone that sees it. I'm sure the colors and elevation lines are just a show gimmick, the real bike will be less "artsy fartsy" I bet.... to use a technical term :lol3
By the way this bike looks way to finished to only be a concept to me, but who knows, I know I want one! and I like "Norge":D better

I had a bicycle like that. It didn’t need any sort of support to just lay on the ground wherever I left it. :rofl
