The slide bypass on cabin creek was almost gone before the snow fell. Gonna need a lot of work to be big bike safe again. Hopefully the locals will take care of it, like they often do.

Long live 41. One of my favorite ole roads to get ya to the promised land. That creek is ragin right now. Who’s going to win the coveted first trip over Green Pass this year?! Some secret squirrels are working on more access routes in the area.

Depends on when - decided to bite the bullet and do the 2md surgery this week. Doctor promise "foot like a new one". No weight for 6 weeks at least.

All ears and eyes for a new route

Rode up for a check Saturday. Stampede pass I couldn't get to the top by the lake.

The river crossing is still looking a bit much for the stock klr even if I wheelie into it with all its gutless might. ;)

First week of June is our usual for the pacific crest but I'm going to guess first week of July this year

No, fortunately not. Had the hardware removed from the original one and a small adjustment made that is caused by me aging :-(
Since I was under I decided to combine - hope to get "like new foot" by fall.
Hope to ride later in August - good luck to all of you this year!

Can’t get past stampede pass proper. Too much snow in the cut. Maybe could have pushed through to the dandy pass intersection, but no making to lizard lake. Can’t get to Tacoma pass from crystal springs either. IMG_4681.jpg

Holy crap, that's a lot of snow still! I've been wondering if it's clear yet. I haven't had a chance to get up there and find out yet. Thanks for sharing!

LOL maybe I DO have a chance ;-)

It's amazing how different this year has been in terms of snow - the I90 corridor got almost 2.5x compared to the 97, WABDR is clear from Cashmere to Canada as of last weekend....

Yup, a few buddies and I rode sections 5 & 6 over Memorial day weekend. A little snow, but passable. That's why I'm shocked!

Was up toward Pyramid pass on Wednesday. Got stopped at the T with 7080. Nearly 2 feet deep in that section I'd say. Next weekend at the very earliest.

Edit: Okay, maybe not 2 feet upon review :lol3 but it will still be next weekend at least.

BTW fun fact - I was with a group in Moab this April. One of the days we got a lot of rain down, snow up. The roads that were dry and dusty the day before looked like this. Nobody else wanted to ride, so I was like WTH, let me practice for the I90 to Greenwater, except this was going 10k - 11k feet high from Utah to Colorado. Going down was like on a sled, the top potion of the ground just slid with the bike...

I made it to the town of Gateway, CO but not back - destroyed the clutch trying. So it was going around, about 150 miles :-)

Hi all! I just moved to Maple Valley recently, and will be getting a '16 Tiger XCX soon.
I moved from Singapore 2 years ago and have many years of experience riding on the road but rather noob with trails.

Can I start this trail from Greenwater(since it's really near home) and is there a track I can download onto my GPS?

I will be happy to tag along if anyone is willing too. Thanks!

I’m thinking of attempting I90 to Greenwater this Friday on my 690 if anyone would like to come along. I was dodging snow in Gifford Pinchot a couple weeks ago and it wasn’t a complete fail, so now my head is bigger than my knobbies. Might be handy to have someone point and laugh at me when I get stuck.
