Not sure how that home-made one will hold the post without hitting the tank. The Triple Clamp post leaves room for the (rounded) front of the tank.

The TCM post for the SE is very very tight fitting , the scotts damper is flipped around and the damper arm fitted backwards, the tolerance is so close that it just snuggs above the forward tank fastening. Once its all fitted the steering bump stops need slight adjustment to prevent the steering bottoming out on the post and affecting its integrity . You loose a very small amount off your full lock , lets see if i can find a foto.

I like it and need a horn for mine but that would last about 5 minutes on my bike before it got crushed on some rocks. :)

I like horns on all my bikes. It's fun as all get out to honk at people at races or your buddies out on the trail. Of course they're an asset on the paved roads as well, but personal exerience has shown me that by the time you need to blast your horn at another car/truck, the danger has already passed (or worse, already happened).

I agree. i've tried two different horns on my 950 but both have died a quick death. Either not happy with being submerged, or just general beating about and stopped working. Need to find a nice durable one that mounts under the tank somewhere.
