Pretty stoked to say the least. My son called me up and asked me to caddy for him in an upcoming tournament. I could not say yes fast enough. He also said I could use a pushcart. I don't know if I will. He was state champ in HS and has kept up his game. If he's 170 out he'll pull out his wedge and stick it. No hole in ones yet for him; his little brother beat him out on that! His lil bro don't have a +2 handicap though...oh, almost forgot, the tournament is the 118th US Amateur Championship at Pebble Beach. I may want that pushcart!

Thanks! My friends nephew is Johnson Wagner, he has had a good ride. We figured out that if you just shot par golf you would make about 400k per year. No one would know who you were and you would always make the cut. Playing golf. Who'd a thunk? Yea I'm stoked for my kid, he may or may not be stoked to have me as caddy :lol3

Yabbut subtract travel and (probably?) accommodation from that 400k.

Don't forget the 10% if the winnings to the caddie.

BTW, great first job. Too many clubs have gotten rid of caddies. This was my summer job for three years.

That bag will get heavy after 9 holes, I would do a cart if I was not used to lugging a full set around.

Congrats. That will be something to see your kid competing at that level. There's lots of ups and downs at Pebble, take the push cart.

But were you Danny Noonan cool?

Noonan will caddie at 2020 US Open -
Michael O’Keefe — the actor who played Danny Noonan in “Caddyshack’’ — will carry a bag on Monday and Tuesday in practice rounds at the U.S. Open
