Fixing the rear bearing of my bike. With under 7600 km it baffles me it needed to be change. The suspension might be too soft and the bike too heavy, they said.

    Interesting trip.
If you need to draining blood from a smashed nail again , try heating the needle or just a piece of wire until it's red , then it will go through the nail instantly. You'll know when it's through , by the instant pain. You're finished when you feel that.

My wish is just to travel, and since I started in Europe, the far east (Asia) is my goal. The middle term goal is India via....

    a) Iran-Dubai

    or

    b) Lebanon-Syria-SaudiArabia-Dubai

But with borders closed, I will just ride in Turkey.

A few days ago, I ride almost 750km, was very tired and spend the night in an empty mini local market at the side of the road, as rain catch up with me before I made it to Ankara. Woke up quite early and play a bit with long exposure pics with my phone.

    I'm only 40kms away now.

Since I arrive in Ankara, I have been waiting to get an extension of my residence, date for next August 20-something.

In the meanwhile, I was invited to ride motocross for the very first time in my life, straight to the mountain, from the garage and up!! I had lots of fun and a silly fall, I hurt my right shoulder and need to rest some days or weeks.

Here the video about the incident.

Hello everyone, Id like to go to the point....

well.... that did not go as planned!! lol, fucking COVID close all the borders for this long!

Here is my update, no pictures and a question.

1-update) I spent months in the east of Turkey and later I move to Ankara and apply for a 6 months residence permit which I got. In the mean time, I had 2 short trips to the North Sea (8 days) and later to the Mediterranean (around 14 days), had a ton of fun and crossed some really high peaks through dirt roads. One day, someone fell off the cliff and they pass away. It was a sad experience, a reminder that this roads are no joke. I decided to settle in Antalya for the winter, I have been here since october and I did enjoy 2 months of beach and good weather and now it is very chilli. I got an apartment for 150usd a month and I am considering a whole year as waiting time till I can resume the world trip. This sounds CRAZY!! But I am mentally prepared for that.

2-question) what is a realistic budget for a 2 year world trip.... I know, covid, but still, I need to check my finances. As you know, I am riding a RE Himalayan, I am 17,500km on the road. I started my trip on Dec 27, it was really cold and I made it from Germany to the border with Iran and there was snow all the way up to there. I was hoping for India but as you know borders got closed so I really do not have that much experience doing the budget.

What is a safe range, considering I will be camping maybe 20% of the time and 80% will be in airbnbs/cheap-hotels? Stuff happens on the road and we should have a little bit on the side just in case.

    What is your experience?

Thank you if you are reading this and sorry for not making updates. I have been in quarantine ever since last year.

    Ride safe, have fun!
