We live in an older suburb, lots of fully mature trees, lots of SUV's, lots of squirrels. Fairly regularly a SUV nails a squrrel. For years the neighborhood residents have been sweeping the casualties into the storm sewers.

Fast forward to 2004. City of Mission hires a hot stuff city mananger, probably pay the dude $150K or something ridiculous. Said city manager notices someone sweeping a squirrel into the storm sewer. Said city manager then prints up, and personally signs, and mails, individually, a letter to everyone in the subdvision procaiming that he has "information" that our sundivision kills squirrels and puts them in the sewer. Letter informs us that killing squirrels is animal cruelty, and the practice had better stop (including a piece about how they are part of our ecosystem to) or he'll start prosecuting.

Soooo - how about "City Manager, saviour to the Squirrel" as a new screen name?

PS - wants the secret to posting pictures? I click "manage attachments", select a file, it says its uploading, then says there is a problem with the advrider database.

Somebody knocked my bike over and scratched my mirror. I heard it was that Katoom guy. I think his new handle should be SquirrelRider or maybe Stiff Squirrel or Squirrelscratcher...........something with squirrel in it.
