Hey Inmates, My Ear Mold Headset died some time back and I'm looking for a cheaper alternative, has anyone used anything else that works well with a helmet eg keeps the wind noise down, and sounds good

    Cheers

You can replace just the earmold plugs if you need to ..
I've always been reluctant to have hard plastic or metal bits in my ears when riding.
Mainly in case of side impact pushing the bits further in ....
    Maybe too far.
Been a long time since i investigated the options.
Interested to see what you come up with

I'm using No Noise ear plugs from AMX with Cardo intercom with JBL speakers mounted in helment and cuts wind out but can hear music and toned down noises around me. Exhaust still sounds sweet

Not sure if this is useful, but andy strapz used to make up custom moulds while you wait and he could mould some sort of wire fed speaker into them.

i found the custom moulds were the best ear protection i ever have worn, but after a few hours the one in my left ear had that horse cock feeling.

they lasted long enough for me to lose one of them at work (four or five years of use) and had not deteriorated at all
