As much as i complain, i thought it was pretty darn epic. And Glenn made it fun and not boring. Pushing his bike everwhere, and the lady yelling at us for something I don't quite know. Ifyou figure i out let me know

I like it that he's so patriotic he's riding a Japanese-made motorcycle. Not that I have anything against Japanese-made motorcycles, but it seems incongruous with the rest of his garb. But Trump was in Japan this week so maybe he left his Harley at home to show his support for improving foreign relations with Shinzo Abe.

You don't need to buy american to be patriotic. I would assume you are patriotic from the actions people take.

The type of bike you ride has nothing to do with supporting missing servicemen.

Absolutely. I find it odd people think that and kind of poke fun of people on sportbikes in the rally. There is alot of get a real bike sort of mentality at the rally.

It is the harley mentality, been there, done that, got smart, grew up. Too bad this is the last thunder, it was a great show of respect.

No I disagree. You don't need an outfit to fit in any particular bike. Why are motorcyclists so cliquy? Is that a word?

I didn't look it up but I think it is a word if you throw an "e" in there somewhere... but I could be wrong.

If you get an outfit you can be a cowboy, too. Smothers brothers. Life is not a beauty contest, it is a costume party!!

Will Rogers said it best " I never meet a motorcycle I didn't like". Or something like that.

I was there on my '16 Africa Twin. This was my first time riding Rolling Thunder and it was pretty epic. Most bikes were HDs followed by Goldwings. I saw a vintage Moto Guzzi and a handful of big bore GSs. Given the number of bikes and the high temps, there were surprisingly few breakdowns. Lots of friendly folks both at the event and on the way from and back to Boston.

    Be honest:

Why did you do the ride?

Do you do anything for veterans the rest of the year?

Are you aware that this question comes across as "Holier than thou"?

Maybe he doesn't do anything for veterans the rest of the year - that doesn't mean he can't show support by showing up for a ride. I agree - it's marginally better than clicking "Like" on a Facebook post, but we don't know. Maybe he has a son or daughter serving or lost one while in service.

My late father, my brother, and my oldest daughter are all veterans. I admire them for their service. I want Congress to fund the VA to a higher level. But I don't see how 500,000 motorcycles descending on DC, many of them obnoxiously loud, accomplishes that.

There is no reason to get all butt hurty.

If John2450 feels put upon by my question, he is welcome to say so.

Fairly simple questions for those not easily offended. If you are offended by my question, do not feel the need to answer it.

    Have you done this event?
