We were never there & you can't prove anything
Nothing too exciting, just heading over to the tron to do some bike gear shopping.
Anyone on an oldish black beemer with a bright yellow headlight surround on Wharehine Road today? I passed you going the other way on the drz250, just ticking off the last of the Cape Reinga to Auckland route
curious, who was the (other) enthusiast enjoying the sh3 backroads towards aria from piopio/te kuiti late this morn?
I see bikes going up and down SH1 all day...I'm usually checking what patch they are wearing. Today I see something different, a couple of Vincents, one a Black Prince. I don't think they will be on ADV though....
Two Vincents and a modern Bonnie?
It was my retired Dad and is two retired mates...... just been up the top of the north for a Vincent Owners Club riders rally, 2600km for a few old fella's in 5days isn't so bad.
Yes, there was a totally boring 3rd bike as well. I love that Vincent owners still use their bikes, good on them !
Yes, One was my father too.
All ex PD owners that have done their share of ADV riding over the years.
Yes they have ...... well before it was popular!
Hey Roger you all good?
shout out to all the Africa Twins, RXXX beamers, KTM's etc etc I spotted over the last week on the boat and as far down as Hanmer.... I was in the car
Have only seen a handful or two of adventure bikes during our whole two weeks around the Norf.
A few more with us on the crossing south now.
the south is where its at, it was torture driving and seeing so many bikes doin it....even found myself being jealous of a couple of guys on GS1200's riding in 33c through St Arnaud
80's Red XR600 sounded mint on the Dry Weather Road, (Nelson).....
Sunday just gone, a chap on an orange 990 Adventure fuelled in Murchison as I did on the VFR, and then headed out on my tail down the Buller towards the Coast. Later, I pulled out of the Reefton Mobil on his tail, and we rode together until he turned off at Maruia Saddle.
Anyone on here?
I saw a Hayabusa and a zx-10 in ranfurly today.
