Coronavirus vs the possibility of having a National trials championship in the fall.

Mostly answered down the middle, except for probably not going to attend an event in Alabama solely because of the location from me.

Yeah a 3 day in Alabama looked good to Ray. The rate of covid is going the wrong direction, its the year from hell. Would not be so bad if we could camp.

Guess I don't really want to go to Alabama. I'll keep hiding in the Midwest where it's safe...

Placed into an induced COMA so you can be INTUBATED because you can't breathe, wearing a diaper, face down on a cooling pad.....for weeks.

And if you survive on average you will lose 40% of your muscle mass.

Not worth the risk. For what ? A trial ?

My health and that of my family is very important to me. So is the well being of my trials family.

I doubt any trials club could replicate the level of precautions and testing NECESSARY to insure everyone's health.

Health care workers are overwhelmed. We must respect these heroes.

The other option is to hold an event in the Midwest and let the Alabamans come to you.

I could use a nice long rest. Face down, asleep for weeks but not real sure about the whole diaper thing. :snore

I thought I would share what it is like to be on a mechanical ventilator .
I ended up on one when my esophaguses removal when wrong .
My lungs were filled with blood and I briefly died only to wake up on a mechanical ventilator.
Still alive I woke up on my belly with my arms tied up tight a bunch of tubes going into my mouth and nose .
I struggled and got a shot of opium and was out this went on for about a week till I accepted my situation .
12 days in intensive care and finally a hospital room and breathing on my own .
It was terrifying and will change how you health is going to be even after you are cured .

This cornovirous is no joke and you really should be careful and take calculated risk or we may hear your sad story.
And that is if like me they do save you .
    Stay home and ride
Keep a safe distance and ride
    Wash your hands and ride
Wear a helmet to cover your cough and ride
It may suck not going to these events but at least our hobby is done alone so make sure you ride !
