The more I'm searching, the more I'm confuse.
I want a pair of boots that do it all.
Because I do everything on my bike.
I commute to work and I want the boots to be comfortable at the office all day long and not looking like a goof.
I do couple days trips here and there, I want my boots to keep me warm & dry, and able to walk all day long in a museum.
I want my boots to give me enough protection, when I am on a gravels trail in the dessert, but I want my feet to breath in a hot day ( not swimming in there own sweat ).
and since they are not cheap, I want them to last for years.
Is it too much to ask ???

I came down to those selections .

    The SIDI ADVENTURE $ 250.00
    [IMG]

The GAERNE Balance classic $ 235.00
    [IMG]

The Aerostich Combat Lites $ 247.00
    [IMG]

And maybe The AXO CX ATV $ 240.00
    [IMG]

It's hard to find a store that carry them, So I cannot see or try them.

Is any body owned and have an experience with one of those boots ?
Or know an other kind of better boots ?
    Please help & Thanks.

Have you considered Thor Quadrants? I use a pair on the road and they do fine on the Transalp, and don't make you feel like you have no ankles

I have Oxtar Matrix from NewEnough.com They're great boots! Low profile (no big buckles or metal parts) basic black. Wear a pair of jeans over them and it's hard to tell that you're wearing boots... comfortable, too; and water proof. I rode 220 miles in the pouring rain yesterday and my feet were bone dry. Check 'em out.

I want to know where you work that your are considering any of these not "goofy" looking? All day in the office in a motorcross style boot will be less than fun.

I have the Aerostich Combat tourers - not the lights. But, I wouldn't want to wear them all day at the office. I think you would be better off with something like the Oxtar Matrix or the Sidi Champion (water resistant) or the Sidi Thunder (waterproof).

Good luck and let us know what you get and how it works out for you.

I though that Setup Adventures are not made of leather :fitz , but build of plastic call " Lorica Starcross " ? :dunno
That's what cool me off, about those . :nah

Another vote for the Oxtar Matrix. Totally waterproof, good protection, very comfortable wearing 8 hours a day and when they get all dirty I polish them with Kiwi shoe polish and they look new again.:thumb

Edit: They look much better in person than the online photos.

Do they have to be motorcycle boots??? I use Redhead Ridge Tracker II from Bass Pro Shops. Waterproof and comfy enough to wear on a parking lot for 8 hrs teaching nOObs how to ride :deal

hey fredo, have you thought of, you know... changing your boots when you get to the office? :-) I keep a pair of sandals under my desk and they are VERY comfortable. Better than any street shoes.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
But yep ! I'd like to be motorcycle boots.
You see I have been driving for over 25 years with all kind of shoes and boots, but never own a serious pair of riding boots.
I bought a pair of motocross boots few weeks ago (some biker friend insisted for me to get them if I wanted to fallow him in the desert ) and when I saw how those boots are made, it make me realize how Unprotected my feet were all those years.
So, it's why I'm looking at do-it-all foot wear.
I'm trying to be good with the all A.T.G.A.T.T.

I have oxtar matrix, bmw contour, bmw savannah and alpinestar vector.

Best boot? The matrix and that is why I have two pair of these. The BMW contour are a close second.

If I plan to take my boots off at the destination and am worried about riding over my foot and/or offroading, than I wear the savannah or vector. Both of these boots are comfortable, but too hot to wear all day.
