1027.00 for 8 Months basic on the GSA. Ouch. But I can ride if we get told to shut things down due to the Virus PITA. Plus it's finally supposed to be above freezing this weekend

I just insured the 1150GS today. $671 for 8 months of basic and 2M liability. One of the few good things about turning 65! :-)!

The weather looks pretty good for the next few days. Nothing else to do, might as well go for a ride.

Five years until I can put a collector plate on my GS. I think I may have to look for something older to put in the garage.

Does ICBC put an annual mileage restriction on a collector plated vehicle? From what I can see, it looks like "for pleasure use only" is the only restriction.

As far as I know the only restriction is pleasure only. You can’t ride it to work at all. Regular pleasure class allows up to 6 trips to work in a calendar month.

You can ride around the world if you want. Just not to work or school. No mileage restrictions.

Here in Alberta an "antique" plate costs a one time fee of about $40 but you can only use the vehicle to go to vehicle shows, parades, rallies, etc.

And you have to have another vehicle insured with you as the principle operator since my wife and I only have one car and she's the principle for that my company work truck and the Africa Twin fill that requirement.

BC also has Antique plates with similar restrictions.
