Maybe I'll see your tracks or maybe you'll see mine since I'll be in that area. :D

It looks like riding those big bikes burns a lot of calories! :eek1 That road/trail was in fine shape last year when I was on it.

I think this bridge I saw them dragging in last year is the same one you took the photo of. I had to use the creek shortcut also. Why wasn't the bridge open?

You Know, I have no idea why it was closed, I know it had a brand new chain and lock on the gate (all shiny like). Are you sure we are talking about the same road, cause the one in that picture looks to well groomed. I'm betting it had something to do with mining (excuse) we did see alot of keep out active mining operations in progress, but nothing was out where we rode... nothing.

Next: Calorie burn is an understatement, that is what I have a smaller bike for.

Had I been on my DRZ I would just have a blast back in there.

It has to be the same road because that is the only way you could have made it to Warren Summit with the main road closed. Well, you could take the single track out of town that heads Northeast right out of Warren and also get to Warren Summit that way. But that isn't a big bike kind of trail. :lol3

We did the Riggins to Burgdorf hotsprings via frenchcreek a few weeks ago, 2 up loaded down on the 950. Started losing the rear brake on some of the steep switchbacks.

Fun, but a lot of weight to keep on two wheels.

Looks like you guys hit the adventure ride head on. You're a die hard and looking forward to the gripping conclusion.

That Curtis fellow seems to be doing ok...:lol3

And so we had some Damage Assessment to go over while loading our equipment back on the bikes.

Three leaking fork seals on the BMW's. two bashplates damaged, Steve's strap to to tail gear, Bob's hanging on with bailing wire, or if you prefer lacing wire. One torn off running light right front after Steve wrestled his BMW.

No damage to the KTM's and thank you Black Dog Cycle Works we tested your product today :thumb

We were pretty spread out on the road to Big Creek and YellowPine. I stopped on the bridge by the South Fork RS and here is what I saw:huh

    Riding on....

    Getting close to YellowPine now

Fueled up by the store, and they were setting up for the Harmonica Festival Starting tomorrow.

Found a free camping spot close to town went back ate like a starving man and oh my God the Beer went down so goooood.

Bill and Bob had not come in yet and we were thinking of sending a search party back out when they roll in almost dark. It seems Bob found a gap on a bridge and put his front tire in it some more damage resulted in a broken foot peg.

All survived the day as Day 4 comes to a close.

When I rode thru there a few days earlier, in the opposite direction, before they closed it, they were getting ready to put in a culvert about 2 miles east of Warren, where there's a hairpin in the road. There was no bridge, they had some new humongous culvert pipe laying there. -al

When I look at google maps, there is a loop to the south and up to warren summit, NF340/355. Is that how you got around? I was eyeballing that when I thought I might be trapped. -al

    Hey Al,

It's a thin dashed red line that spurs off of 359, a couple miles up.
