After 14 years of non-stop running and a body that's been hurting : :eek1 I've decided to take brake from running. I doubt that I'll be back in the saddle by then, hopefully I won't have to give up biking too!!

Of course (say-compulsive : :cry ) that is several weeks away-the little 10 miler sounds fun :deal

Thanks for the info Chain :thumb

mj, Springfield has a lot of interesting sights. Check out the Cozy Dog Drive-In if you get time. It's one of the Old Route 66 hangouts.

these are all great ideas, I might have to divide the state up and do half this summer. Will I get handouts anytime I roll thru or is this a one time deal :ear

I think gas and camping spots will be no problem guys but if I can swing by and ride with any of yall I would be up for it.

You could easily circumnavigate the State of IL in a week and still see most everything worth seeing... It ain't that big.

Great, now I gotta read the titles too!!!:D

Now I know why I keep getting lost in Jo mamma.:uhoh :D

I'll be back from Fl on the 19th. (business trip no riding) So I look forward to hearing about the camping in graveyards.
When Sylvia was a kid, her dad stopped to rest on a family trip. The rest of them were asleep. The kids woke up in the middle of a graveyard and sorta freaked on him.:eek1

She needs a breathe right strip. You shouldn't sleep with your mouth open like that.

You might find a dead body at an old Nike base.

Would be neat to camp on a tower, but I'd have to use a tether.

I take it back, I called her in to look, and she said "is it an ice mummy? No it looks more like 1800's. sure is yucky tho..." and went back to cooking dinner.

I stand by my earlier comments, and will attempt to distract you with a clever ....OH MY GOD LOOK AT THE BEAR!!!!!
