Anyone have a route from vegas to reno all on dirt? I've raced V to R so I've been on that route. Guys I'm going with probably won't make it thru silt parts. There less experienced and on bigger bike. I'll be on my pimped out 06 KTM 640 adventure R. We're looking for an itermediate level route for my buddies. Well need access to fuel every 200-250 miles. I'm a career FF/LT and one of my Firefighters just got bad news about his heart that might take him off line. Don't understand. ...the guy is fit as hell. Anyway we want to take a week off and get his diagnosis off his mind for just a little while. Thanks

Yes the Vegas to Reno race has trashed most of the west side of our state. I spent a lot of time routing around it.

You can plan your own route on Nevada Statewide Motorized Trail System

Or this is a 3-day version we did several years ago. It needs updating.

Jerry, thank you for all that you contribute to this site. I personally have gotten quite a bit from them. :clap

Just one question: I wrote down your color coding system a while back but can't seem to find it now. What do the white tracks represent? I saw that the OP is looking for big bike friendly with intermediate riders. Is that what the white means or is it just a random color?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Steve,

    I use:
Dark Green - Dual Sport & general route
Dark Magenta - Adv bike bypass
    Red - difficult Dual Sport

Never use White but sometimes import other's tracks unedited.

Don't know what happened to color in file above? All tracks should be Dark Green with EW (Easy Way) as Dark Magenta.
