Some bushfire recovery pics this morning in Stirling Range (Koi Kyenunu-ruff) National Park.

The Kingia seem to be doing well.

    Tonight. Phone pic.
That’s the moon, Jupiter and Saturn, lining up. With a decent set of binoculars you could possibly make out the rings. (In a zero light polluted area..)
    Betterer tmorra night.

Thanks for that BOOTLACE, after reading that I stepped outside (10pm) to see if it was visible. I had a mostly clear sky in that sector and got to see it for about 15 minutes before a cloud bank moved across the sky. I got out my 20X50 binocs but wasn't able to see the rings, might try again tomorrow night.

I got this pic just after midnight when the clouds had moved on.

Yeah, well. That’s one of the reasons I moved from WA. And why a lot of people move there.
It’s just so far away from everything ......

New and interesting visitor - a splash pied pigeon. Reckon he must have been a pet as the first time I meet him he eats out of my hand. He's on the extreme left in the group shot.

Hey mrsdnf, please believe me when I say I am not trying to be a smart arse, but what gender are you ?
I usually have a mental picture of posters on this site through their comments and their user names but I am confused by your user name.

To me it reads as “Mrs did not finish”.

A lot of white water paddle competitions I do would have the initials dnf after the name of a non finisher in the results.

Definitely a bird day. Went to check for the pied pigeon and saw that the little fellas had moved in while the coast was clear - wrens, silver eyes and sparrows. Pity they wouldn't stay still for their pics.
