I certainly did, TC. Great day, but a bit warm. Pity you couldn't make it. Nobody else out today.

Just clipped one out near Tara, Queensland 10 days ago. They were eating sorghum on the roadside. Most went left but 2 went right. He glanced off left guard and kept flying. 1st sulphur cockie I've ever got near.

I have had many close encounters with Sulphur Crested Cockatoos , I have coped one in the shoulder at high speed and today , while doing a slightly illegal speed on a road ride on my Bonneville , I had to duck as a flock of them swooped across the road at the same time as I went along that road , still have no clue how I missed 2 of them as I was sure they were going to impact on me , maybe me ducking gave just enough clearance to miss :clap . I was mucho happy about the miss , because the one impact I have had hurt like all hell , albeit without breaking a bone in me , but the bruise lasted a bloody long time before it dissipated . I regularly see dead sulphurs around these parts on the roads and verges .

Found a great swimming hole near my place. Apparently it's always been there.... Go figure?

He appears to have slightly exotic tastes.
One of the very few animals I've seen eating bloody capeweed flower stalks.
